We had it going well with SD until we tried to drive it, it acted crazy. Pat at Level 10 told me you can't tune a 7AT on SD because it doesn't use the torque tables. When you hit the gas the line pressure should go up but with SD it drops so it slips like crazy .

Just in time !!!
I wuz runnin' out of nails to bite !!!

StillenZ84 12-18-2015 08:42 PM

That must be my problem then as well. Im slipping 3rd and 4th gear and my "old" tuner couldn't figure it out. Pat didn't let me know anything like that when I told him I was on SD.

JWillis72 12-18-2015 08:46 PM

Your SD tuned? He made it sound like it would destroy the trans to me.

StillenZ84 12-18-2015 08:46 PM

But its not all the time just when the trans is cold. It is perfect once I drive a few miles. Confusing.

StillenZ84 12-18-2015 08:47 PM

Yeah I am all out SD tuned.

JWillis72 12-18-2015 08:48 PM

Odd, I don't get that. Please let me know what you find, he acted like SD tune wasn't even possible.

Ecutek can do a combo MAF/ SD tune, maybe they used that?

I guess its possible but I can't even get ahold of my old tuner to ask. All I know is he told me I am fully SD and my MAF readings don't mean a thing. They are still right behind my frozen boost and he told me I could take the shield down that blocks direct air hitting them which I did a few months ago and my tune isn't affected one bit. I honestly don't know how he did it or how to find out. Other people have been able to get in contact with him but he won't reply to my calls or emails for around 40 days now.

JWillis72 12-18-2015 09:04 PM

Ask Seb to look at it before he changes it, this is strange.

Yeah Ive been out of town a lot lately and haven't had time to mess with my car at all. But he is just wanting on the word to start trying to fix things. Within the next 2 weeks probably after Christmas break he will be taking over. Is he the one doing your tune now?

JWillis72 12-18-2015 09:10 PM

No I thought he was but it's the original tuner. He's friends with the shop owner.

Cool. Well if it comes to it and they can't get it set up right, I can send you my latest file and maybe they can see how it is all set up, of course if it isn't locked.

JWillis72 12-21-2015 09:28 AM

We have the torque table back from Level 10, if it's drives okay today could be interesting.

LOL me too! Man I hope everything works right for his sake.

JWillis72 12-21-2015 12:19 PM

We are leveling the trans fluid right now. Haven't started tuning.

Get'em moving. A 12pack of Mountain Dews will do the trick. LOL Your build is going like mine do. A slogfest and nothing goes as planned. If I work on someone else's car it goes like clockwork. Work on mine and it fights me every step of the way.

JWillis72 12-21-2015 01:16 PM

Well I drove it around before we tried to level it and it was above the temp range to level it so we had to let it cool down. I'm going back around 3 to level it. This car never stops kicking me in the nuts.

Hopefully it'll kick you in the chest with 500whp soon enough!

Hell yeah, excited ... I'll call 530 +

TopgunZ 12-21-2015 03:17 PM

Does it involve licking your thumb and squinting one eye?

JWillis72 12-21-2015 03:34 PM

Whats louder about it? The BPV or is that SC screamin with anger?

JWillis72 12-21-2015 04:00 PM

The BOV and the headers.

TopgunZ 12-21-2015 04:31 PM

Sweet!!

JWillis72 12-21-2015 04:43 PM

I had to leave to pick up my kid but it hadn't made over 200 when I left. The tuner has a car on his dyno and one waiting so it's going slow. Because we have a vacuum line on the fuel regulator it getting real rich as soon as it hits boost so he's working on that right now. That has to be the meanest sounding sup 200whp around.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

JWillis72 12-21-2015 04:44 PM

Top, does your BOV stay open until you get on it hard? That thing sounds like a jet before it closes!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TopgunZ 12-21-2015 05:00 PM

Why does he have vacuum on your FPR? Id take that off. Ive ran 4 different return setups with FPR's and have never connected a vac line to it.

Yes mine does stay open and yes it is loud as a MOFO. It has to stay open till WOT or you are blasting in air at idle. You don't want that, you want the blower to blow off to atmosphere while out of accell.

You will scare people with that thing. I have a different one now but still put a silencer on it. Its insane.

JWillis72 12-21-2015 05:09 PM

We were worried we might need more pressure on the top end with only the 125 fuel pump.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TopgunZ 12-21-2015 05:25 PM

You have a 125 lph pump??

StillenZ84 12-21-2015 05:38 PM

Oh man I thought you at least had the 255 that came with the Stillen kit.

jwick 12-21-2015 05:55 PM

Think that's a typo
