you can add washers where the seat mounts to the bracket to put the seat up higher, but without washers the seat sits about an inch taller than stock. im only 5'9 so it doesnt bother me at all.
thats cool, thanks for the info.

Ok I can't find it. Planted aren't the greatest, what was the other bolt in company that's better? I need a base plate and the side rails.

i dont know. the pics look much better for the planted. the wedge looks like just steel rod welded together with no real mounting surface for the risers.

The biggest problem I have with seat mounts for this car is it's hard to get them low enough, given low headroom in this car and the funky floorpan shape. Ditching the idea of sliders helps as that kills another inch or so of height (plus the seat is a lot more stable both for driver-feel and in a wreck...). But the bottom line is any of the universal-ish brackets (e.g. the Sparco ones, Planted, etc) isn't going to be as awesome on managing seat height as something custom-fabbed for exactly where you want the seat at. It doesn't cost that much to hit up a reputable local racecar builder and have them fab up your seat-mounting solution based on your body size, seat, and car, and you'll get a superior solution.

wstar, I'm glad that you've pointed out what I believed this whole time to be a deficiency as well. Though I love my aftermarket seats, the moment I sit in them my head nearly touches the headliner. This I'm sure would be detrimental if I were to ever roll the vehicle. As you've mentioned, though I enjoy the ability to adjust the seat back and forth, I believe down the line I will have a shop mount the seats directly onto the Wedge Engineering brackets.

While I'm not sure the compatibility with other brands, I know the Bride FO rails which are a mount and slider all in one, actually gained me more head room when I put them in with my Vios III's.

Sounds about right. Bride is well-known for being able to provide low seat positioning dependent on rail and seat configuration.

Sorry for the huge pics, the smaller ones get compressed and look like crap. Anyway, I haven't gotten to take many pics since I installed them, here's the only ones I have right now

Oh, and if you didn't know you can resize your browser screen by holding Ctrl and rolling your mouse wheel down.
