IPAD mounted in Nismo

From a design aspect, the ipad is far from ugly...it looks amazing actually. It's just out of place in this car, kind of like a stripper at church.

If it's easy to take out, I think it actually looks kind of cool.

Then again I'm thinking more about the functionality then the looks.
And I get the "wanting to keep the dash original"...

Default Ipad

The car is strictly a show car. I don't plan to race it. The only time it would see a track is at the Pepsi 400 parade lap. Even though its a track car, I don't see why I can't have simple ammenities like bluetooth, or Navi. Also, the IPAD is only mounted on long trips or going somewhere new. Its not there all the time. Although I should use it more often. I am starting to like the music library.

I organize and attend a lot of car shows, so the portability aspect of the current setup is perfect for me.

I see where people are coming from, I would of liked to see like the wire hooked up to this and you placed it in cubby hole, or passenger seat just as like a thing to do so you can hide it or take it out....

Or get two of them and use it as your rear wing on your civic.

you mean a double din nav unit with bluetooth capability and an internal hard drive that would replace the factory stereo and sound better (the new Pioneer Z series for instance)? you "couldn't find any"?

This is how you put an iPad in a car

If you have a passanger with you, then you're out of bluetooth, nav and music? That's not very convenient IMO

So... the smaller less expensive, less retarded ipod touch was never an option? If you strictly use for what you said, then that should've been an option... unless you are legally blind I suppose...

I'm gonna start hooking my laptop to a 40" LED TV and make my fiancee hold in in her lap as we drive... the good news is its removeable too... whenever she gets out, she can take the TV with her

Obivously you are missing the part of the thread. The whole point of having the current configuration is so that I could easily remove it when I don't need the ipad like at shows.

If you want your fiancee to hold your 40" tv, that's your choice. There is plenty of room at the passenger seat. Also, my wife is not obese. And having an Ipod in the car is much more distracting due to the smaller screen.
