Its a hard one with our car. I would pull the fuse for the windows, but if you do this you have to be very careful when shutting the door because the glass can contact the body. It is possible however. Your not going to get around it any other way unless you let the car sit for 3 days at the tint shop, which im sure you do not want to do.

Your not supposed to roll your windows down for a few days so the tint can adhere to the window. Depending on the weather. If it's sunny then it will take less (3-5 days)

the car isnt the issue. an doesnt have to leave it at the tint shop. the guy is not giving extra tint down under the rubber an it also wasnt sticking well do to dust particles or whatever the case may be. so the tint is either cut shorter than what it needs to be or there is someing thats not allowing it to stick properly.

What is wrong with everyone's responses? Are you guys just not reading or what? useless....

A competent tint shop should have NO problems with the window's automatic movement. Many sports cars have the same function. Don't listen to these other clowns, you shouldn't have to let the car sit for days without driving it. I had my car tinted on a rainy day and drove all over the place for the following week and had no problems. Your tint shop SHOULD apply the tint under the seal so there's no pick point for the tint to get peeled up. Have them keep doing it until they get it right. If they keep ******* up them get your money back and find someone who knows what they're doing.

A good shop would of had a heat gun or even a blow dryer to make sure the tint stuck properly. This happened when i first tinted my car. Took it back and they fixed it. Just go back and take a blow dryer n tell them to use it. Haha

Yep, no problems with my tint also (Llumar brand FWIW).

The same day I got my tints done, I opened and closed my door at least 6 times afterwards with no issues.

PS - We have a sticky about this in this very section, did you look at it?

WOW, guess it is hard to find a good tint shop these days since you can find them just about on any corner. I have been using the same guy for over 15 years. He is awesome. I am very picky and I never even once had to worry about his workmanship. Once you find someone that is truly good, stick with them.

...u can shot the doors with the windows up just don't slam them
let the tint seal for 2 days and you should not have that problem.
that's what I did and it worked fine....

I got my car tinted last week. They put a sticker over my window controls that says not to touch the windows for 3-5 days. They also said I needed to let this specific tint "cure" to the windows for 2-3 weeks. No washing with any ammonia based products. I now can't get fast food as easily but at least I won't be as much of a fat ***.

I got the "Ultimate" as seen here.
