Vents can't create more horsepower. They might prevent some of the existing horsepower to be lost by taking hot air our of the engine, but they need to be in the right places for that .

You'll need a bunch of stickers to get that horsepower you're looking for.

????

Heat robs horsepower. That's why you put an intercooler on a turbo.

That's what he just said. Vents do not inherently create horsepower, they create cooler temperatures to allow the engine to perform without as much horsepower being compromised due to extra heat in the engine bay.

My mistake. I guess I read it kind of sideways.

Be sure to do lots of research before you pick one up. I have a seibon hood and I would give it a 7/10. If I had to do it again I would pick up a better brand, but that usually entails a higher $. Do lots of homework before buying.
Mine ran about $600 shipped.

That's around my price range but can spend more. How much would a good brand cost with carbon fiber used and are they often sold used?

You're better off putting that money toward something else that yields better gainz. What mods do you currently have?

Check out this thread:
Vented hood thread
and check out these other search results:
https://www.google.com/#q=site:the370z.com+vented+hood
That will get you started and might give you an idea of what style you would like and then you can check out the manufacturers and start PMing vendors ect.
