Intere thread: STILLEN front lip spoiler

Why do people like carbon fiber so much for the front lip? Doesn't seem practical. Polyurethane seems to be so much better for that application.

Yeah I had a poly one on my STI. I think even something as simple as the one I had on that car would look great.

Click here if you want to see more angles

But then again, I love multi-level (where the center of the lip is about an inch higher than the corners) front lips and I love the more extended ones like these.

But who am I kidding, I can't use anything that extends down too far because I'll rip it into pieces..

Since I drive a Nismo my opinion is kind of pointless, but I'll offer it anyway. I like Stillens original design. I do think there design will (probably) be more functional than most of the the chops. Any part I consider for my car gets evaluated on both form and function. I tend to only purchase parts where the form follows function perfectly. Sometimes with aero parts that means going with something more aggresive than I would opt for if only considering form. That being said, I am perfectly happy with the Nismo body and would never make it in my drive with anything more tacked on the bottom.

I don't like how the lip on the GTR goes up in the middle otherwise I like it. Even the small wings on the side are ok. Stillen needs to bury that "Super Touring" series look once and for all. I hated it all the way back to the 1st gen Altima front they made.

I always liked the simplicity and clean lines of the S2K spoiler. Something like that would look good and appeal to more people I think. My vote is no vents in the middle either.

Should have some things for you quite shortly.. Thanks for the input, and hanging in there..

Urethane is a longer process to develop, but has so many more benefits than fiberglass..

Any updates on when this lip is going to be on sale? I'm itching to add a lip after my cbe comes in.

I like the actual version much better... not a big fan of the vents.
