You can use an oil filter for a Nissan Titan Truck. It will buy you a little larger filter.

Yup, that's the one I picked up, it's the exact same size my 2.5L sentra takes actually.

It's the same filter as with the sentra and titan. I really don't understand Nissans reasoning behind giving the 370z the smaller filter, while giving a 2.5L sentra a bigger size. It's not like you can't fit a bigger size filter on the 370z, so what gives?

Just a bit of trivia but it's the same filter as the Miata's as well. Even Miata owners think it's too small and use the slightly longer Millenia filter.

Doesn't a bigger filter take more time to fill up with oil, thus starving the top of the engine until the filter is full?

A Silicone Anti Drain Back Valve helps, but after a day and a half of sitting, there isnt much in the filter.

there's like a 2 inch difference i think in the sizes of the long and shorts. i dont think that would starve the engine. then again i could be wrong since i am not a expert on the VQ block....yet lol

Hmm..u sure the filter size has anything to do with oil overheating? I would think a oil cooler would be the biggest issue in regards to that.
