370z oil filter so small

Doesn't a bigger filter take more time to fill up with oil, thus starving the top of the engine until the filter is full? A Silicone Anti Drain Back Valve

A Silicone Anti Drain Back Valve helps, but after a day and a half of sitting, there isnt much in the filter.

there's like a 2 inch difference i think in the sizes of the long and shorts. i dont think that would starve the engine. then again i could be wrong since i am not a expert on the VQ block....yet lol
