Are there any cons for converting to e85 on a daily driver?

Also do you know what other 370z's with similar mods but running 93 octane made on that dyno for comparison?

Oh and 1 more dumb question....so you said all you changed on your car was the injectors and fuel pump and got a tune for e85. So if you had the uprev tune that let you change the maps using the cruise control, could you have an extra map for regular 93 gas in case you can't make it to an e85 station?

What I understood were I was about a 15-20 whp gains with switching and the car made nice tq also. The cons would be of your not close to any pumps otherwise it's cleaner cheaper and makes more power. I will say I lost mpg but If that's a concern then it's probably the wrong hobby.

And yes u can change ur map and put 93 aslong as u have a tune for it. But I personally don't like it just cause no matter how u look at it ur not putting 93 back in a bone dry tank with bone dry lines. It's just not my preference but to each is own. Another thing to look for is the o-rings expanding on ur injectors switching back and forth. With ID's I've never seen that problem but I have with rc and duetschwerks

I'm definitely making the switch to E85 this fall. Really wish there was a tuner here in AR.

Hell this sounds like the way to go. All the pumps around here have the "At least 10% ethanol" on them and we just got our first e85 pump at the new Mapco that just went in. For me I guess I would need to wait until there are more e85 only pumps in town as it would be a PITA trying to make it to that specific one everytime...or go on a road trip.

In for results with the long tubes

any specific comments on your mpg specifically? I know you mentioned it went down, which is expected, since E85 requires more volume

Member, phunk, has a TT setup running E85. IIRC, he makes more power at lower boost with E85. His videos are sick! Just look at the tach go wild, and that's about 8 PSI. My engine response is nowhere near that with 91 octane and 8-9 PSI.

If E85 is more common in my area I wouldn't mind doing a conversion.
