Ancient thread resurrected! I recently upgraded the Setrab to a 19-row Series-6, as my track sessions have gotten more abusive over time and I've needed more cooling for the fluid.

Ancient thread resurrected!
I recently upgraded the Setrab to a 19-row Series-6, as my track sessions have gotten more abusive over time and I've needed more cooling for the fluid. Still on the same lines/fittings as before (which are smaller than the ones stillen ships). Still working fine. |

***Questions***
Okay so about to pull the trigger on the Stillen Cooler: https://www.stillen.com/nissan-370z-...ooler-kit.html Do I really need: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...2978/overview/ + https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aei-15635 and is this the right hoze (fake laugh): https://www.amazon.com/Gates-27056-T.../dp/B000CRBQ9U or is there a consensus that the dealer can simply use the kit alone? I only ask as I'll be wimping out and having the stealership install, and would like to supply exactly what they need to make everything go on smoothly. I'm on a "remanufactured" 7AT now with only 56k miles on my car, so hopefully this provides some real/actual longterm insurance (until I can get a recession special ZL-1 Camaro that some poor bastard went through a divorce and has to fire sale: "she took everything maaaannnn" <--- suckers/I'm never getting married haha). Thanks everyone for your help, these forums have been GOLD!

Forget the Stillen and get a Hayden 1676 from ebay/amazon for $30. Same one Z1 sells and rated for 10k GVWR.
Yesterday I mounted mine vertically (only space I have with the oil cooler there) using the existing center brace in front of the condenser, there's even a free threaded nut to use. I disconnected the OE top cooler hose and used a brass 3/8" mender to connect it to the new line and ran hose to barb on the Hayden. For the bottom hose I ran from the Hayden toward the drivers side, cut a piece of the radiator core support out to ease the bend (2" sq. max), cut the lower hose where it affixes to the radiator fan shroud and used a 3/8" mender to connect the new hose to existing. Do yourself a favor and use Awab hose clamps size 17.
