Good luck even if they replace it. Joe at Zspeed illustrated their poor engineering along with Zspeed's corrections. What they did "just made sense."

![]() Mine is the clutch master cylinder. Part will be here in one week. Covered under EXTENDED warranty. 41k miles. Work order states " Customer states clutch pedal fades and feels mushy when 1st applied at cold start". Inspection confirms customer concern. Mushy feel and found the fluid is full, the clutch master cylinder is by passing. Suggest replace and recheck clutch function. Next week we will see... |

That should help. IIRC, failed master would lead to failed CSC. I had a buddy with a G370 who had the CSC replaced 3 times before they realized it was the master cylinder that needed replacement.

Can you explain how/why a failed master would cause failure of the slave? If slave is not disengaging properly, wouldn't the damage be more so trans related (syncros and what not) than CSC?

I remember seeing a revised Nissan OEM CSC, but when did they start putting them on their cars?

Bump for this, my car is in the shop right now for these same reasons. Mechanic says it's the slave cylinder. We have to order the part since we're on Guam
and after what I've been reading in this thread, should I tell him to go ahead and order and replace the master cylinder as well while he's at it?

Clutch Pedal stuck to the floor, towed to the dealer. Dealer wants 1600 to replace the clutch assembly and are checking out the slave cylinder and flywheel. I have the extended waranty. After reading all this I wonder if my cluch assembly even needs replacement and I just need the Master/slave cylinder replaced. ( I don't know much about cars) |
