well apparently everyone seems to be having the same problem. I was driving my car (normally) and out of nowhere my clutch peddle drops to the floor. Less than 8k miles. No mods, just air filters, don't drive it that hard either. Taking it to the dealership tomorrow if possible. Just got the basic warranty. Curious to see what will happen at the dealership. Had a 07 350 before this and my transmission was replaced under similar conditions and never had another problem. Read that a lot of people have had the same problem with the 370 and it never seems to go away. New to the forum, just saying hi, will post results as soon as I know more.

Thanks, -Steve

So I got my car back from the dealer about a week ago. It was confirmed that the CSC did indeed fail but they claim only one other car has been brought to them with this problem and swear that it's rare. They went ahead and replaced the master cylinder, csc and the clutch hose assembly. So far the car is running fine. Noticed that the clutch is a little softer but all is good. We'll see how long it takes before it fails again...

35k+ miles and my 09 Z and my clutch finally decided to take a crap on me today. Not all surprised though since I do run it hard. Figured it was time upgrade my clutch anyway. Just sucks to see all that money leave my acct.

12/15/12

My Car: 2011 370Z
Miles: 16,200.

My Clutch began to stick on the freeway. Then Got worse. Barely made it back home and now it's completely stuck to the floor. Know this should be under warranty, but since I have my own shop I would rather work on it myself. Plus I may want to replace my clutch since I most likely will be dropping the Transmission. I'll take photos.

(1 in 1 million to refuse warranty work) lol

This is interesting, not sure if it's related or not. Or it might be the cause of my recently failed clutch master cylinder. The clutch pedal (the whole pedal assembly) was replaced due to a blown seal of the compressor cartridge shock thingy. The one right behind the pedal. It was replaced soon after I had the new clutch master cylinder replaced. An annoying quacking noise from the pedal and it's not the normal air release noise from a good functioning part, this was a louder duck sound.

This may have failed first and then contributed to the failed clutch master cylinder. Making a note for any others with the same scenario.

Nah be happy with what you got. Get the upgraded slave cylinder and you'll be fine.

Has anyone here replaced the CSC with the heavy-duty one from Zspeed, and installed an OEM clutch pack ( pressure plate, clutch disk, and flywheel )?

I know the Zspeed CSC is really meant to push a heavy clutch configuration, but Im trying to figure out the most streetable clutch that is closest to OEM, but if I have to I may go oem. I just dont want that crappy CSC, I want the Zspeed one.

The Stage 1 HD Southbend + South Bend steel flywheel + HD slave will drive better than OEM. When you get rid of the dual mass flywheel all the Lurching/Bouncing when you take off from a stop making you look like a rookie driver goes away

Great, thank you for the reply. I was looking at Southbend for a long time after my query from that day. I dont think I will ever go FI, I think I will stay NA since I do not track the car or drive it alot, so the Stage 1 HD would be fine.

Yes, I was looking at the black steel DXD south bend flywheel on your site.
ZSpeed Performance South Bend Clutch DXD Black Nissan Infiniti Flywheel

South Bend Clutch Stage 1 HD Clutch Kit (VQ37VHR) - $347
+ HD Slave KIT - $325.00
South Bend DXD Black Steel Flywheel - $450.00

Should I opt for the stage 2 daily clutch?

Another question, I would say for everyone on the forum...
Anyone ever install or drive a 370Z with this clutch/flywheel kit installed from Speciality Z?

https://specialtyz.com/shop/sz-flywh...4-and-v36.html

"...this time we incorporated the use of a Tilton racing slave"

Im just curious about the SZ one.. I did some searching on the forum here but nothing in regards to a full blown review on it.

Thanks everyone

Replacement under warranty does not hurt the wallet at all.

Sounds like a lot of extra $$ out of pocket when most are still covered under warranty. True if you wanted a tougher bullet built one, then go for aftermarket, other than that its a lot of unnecessary dough...imo

And a clutch helper spring for about $20 will help with the rookie launches.

Stage 1 will work fine for you, Stage 2 has a slightly higher clamp load is all. If you really beat on the car I would step to the stage 2, Its only a few dollars more.

We can do the whole Stage 2 package for $1075 shipped ground until end of the year.
