My Z starts to leak some sort of blue ish liquid. Please help

Or you could check the coolant level and possibly limp the car back to the shop. I would be hesitant to do this though unless the shop is nearby.

Or you could prevent an obviously incompetent shop from doing further damage by locating the leak and fixing it yourself.

my car is lowered and i don't have any jack up stand. i don't know how i am supposed to locate the leak...

Drive one wheel up on a curb ramp? Drive up on some 2x12s? Where there's a will, there's a way. Or just don't worry about it and let the shop deal with it on Monday.

If you want to avoid incompetent shops, you might as well get some tools to DIY. Jack and jack stands are probably pretty close to the top of the list.

Look at you reservoir. Where is the coolant level at? Is the tank full, half full, empty?

1. When the shop installed the temp sensor. They could have spilled coolant from the location. And it collected on the under tray. When you drove the car. It moved and started to drip.

2. The coolant is leaking from the temp sensor.

3. When the shop finished the temp sensor install. They over filled the reservoir and the extra got blown out of the overflow hose.

Keep an eye on your reservoir if you are driving the Z. If the coolant level doesn't change. I say you can rule out a leak.

I just went to my garage and have a look at the reservoir

There's MAX and MIN line..

The coolant is below the MIN line.......damn!!!!!!

Where did the shop install the coolant temp sensor at? The radiator hose, the heater hose, or in back of the motor? Find the coolant temp sensor. Then you can see if it's leaking or not.

I did not know where they installed the water temp sensor. They did not explain.

They only explained Where the oil pressure and oil temp sensors are. They installed a sandwich plate where the oil Filter is. That’s all I know

Look at the upper radiator hose to see if it has been cut and a metal part installed with wires. If nothing there. Look at the heater hose for the same thing. It would be over by the battery box and the throttle body. A rubber hose about 1" in diameter that going into the firewall. If nothing there. The next place would behind the intake manifold. Between it and the firewall on a metal tube. If you still can't find it. Look for new wires going into the firewall. I ran mine through the rubber boot over by the battery, next to the bottom of the windshield. The easiest place to run new wires.

I'm probably installing my temperature probe this weekend. All gauges are in and wired, but the probe isn't installed. I'm putting z1's adapter block inline on my upper radiator hose. I'm scared of ending up like this

That the same location that I have mine at. I'm changing it to the metal tube behind the intake manifold. At the radiator hose. The gauge doesn't read temps until the thermostat opens up. At the metal tube or the heater hose locations. It will read temps as the motor warms up.

I was concerned about that and asked around (not here) and was apparently given bad information. How hard is it to get to your new location, I can't picture it in my head

I have a '14 and have the same overflow hose running down the radiator fans and onto the tray.

That being said, this sounds like the shop didn't properly seal the threads on the sensor or properly clamp the hoses where they meet the adapter. If they installed the sensor in the heater hose, which seems to be the most likely location, you dont need a jack or jackstands. But get some anyways.

If I were you. Take another car to the shop. Explain to them in exquisite detail what happened, and why you think it happened. Tell them to pay for the tow, and to fix it. Tell them you want to see what theyve done to fix it before they put everything back together. You want pictures. You want a written warranty.

Here's the Z1 heater hose part. This is the easiest way of doing it.

The metal tube/pipe is aluminum. In the pic. It is above the flywheel. Going from head to head. It's bolted to both heads. There is a gray/green plug just above it to the left center. It's a PITA to get to. But it's the best place to install a temp sensor. The next place is the heater hose.
