yes to the last 2 posts . i blew through the limiter in 1 through4th on a 7at for the first month or so after delivery .was using the old ear shift method that does not work on this quick coupled trans and the different sounds than a pos big block

. i am going to let the 7at do the work going up and will have some fun on the way down. might be different if i drove it a lot but i do not,shame on me

I guess you seen yours wouldn’t bounce the limiter in 5th...lol
But yes-it does sound like this is what the driver is experiencing; as it will fall flat.
