The only thing I would suggest is that it's not a bad idea to use some painters tape to cover the chrome strip when drilling the holes. If you are planning on painting this piece after it's not a big deal, but if you are going to leave it chrome, on little slip of the drill can be a real pain in the . Great job though, and thanks for the write up!
