DIY: Headlight LED's and blackout

I think the color match of the projector housings looks fantastic. It gives a nice contrast in the headlight, and kind of makes them look like eyes if you know

I think the color match of the projector housings looks fantastic. It gives a nice contrast in the headlight, and kind of makes them look like eyes if you know what I mean. The paint I got was a bit expensive ($60 for basecoat, midcoat, and clearcoat) but came with plenty of paint to do both headlights, engine cover, and a lot more. Color-match was pretty damn close to dead-on, I can't tell a difference when looking at them but I don't know if I'd use it for touch-up or not.

Excellent work!

The only thing I would suggest is that it's not a bad idea to use some painters tape to cover the chrome strip when drilling the holes. If you are planning on painting this piece after it's not a big deal, but if you are going to leave it chrome, on little slip of the drill can be a real pain in the .
