DIY: of complete FOG LAMP install

Yes correct.... no relay needed... but it would be off the whole time and only light up in reverse... Originally Posted by CBRich If you only wanted it to flash

Alot a work for just a fog-light. I thought that would be a great place for a rear view camera instead of a fog light.

Is there a clear or white lens available for this? And can it be wired to the reverse light in the tail lamps so that it only comes on when in reverse? Hence an additional reverse light so I can see when backing up.

This may be a stupid question, but how does the molding you removed in the beginning go back on? does it just push back to where it was?

What molding pieces you talking about? The interior trunk plastic molding?

No, the molding that you have to remove to remove the plastic liners... looks like a rain guard, soft, pliable....

lift up the weather strip and look inside the groove... you should see the imprint of where it once sat, there's usually two in there, so you can see how the other one is situated.

Can't you just tap into the license plate lights?

Thanks for the write-up. Thats not bad at at all, but I figure it would be more of a plug and play since it is OEM.

It plugs but it doesn't play. The stock harness is there but there is no way turn it on. It would be interesting to see if simply using the Canadian light stalk would make it work, but that adds a lot of cost.
