DIY: of complete FOG LAMP install

So does the light turn on when the headlights turn on? If it does, does it go brighter when brakes are applied like the break lights?

No its just one brightness usually as bright as the break lights, you can wire it as you want but if you want it to turn with your headlights and go brighter when brakes you will need to modify it ...follow this Rear Foglight - Running light AND brake light

I wired mine to be on when the lights are on, it is bright!
My connection goes to the license plate light, used the Z1 extension, very easy this way

I'd normally break loctite with a wrench / hammer combo, but I couldn't get a hammer in there. A quick turn should accomplish the same thing. The key is, you have to do this first, not after you've jacked with them and spun the head.
I personally haven't done this mod, but did a little research. Some have had to cut the nuts off with a Dremel tool as well.

Lucky for me I didn't have any issues getting the nuts off, I can see how it can be a challenge if they spin. You can dremel or use heat to get them off.
There's a picture here in the forum of the notch to drill with the Dremel. If I can find it I'll send it you.

I want to install the rear fog light on my Z but I need to know if it is legal to have 4 brake lights? Can the 4 brake lights be on at the same time or is that illegal? I'm in Arizona btw.

Does anybody know the gauge wire of the tail lights? Nissan uses a really fine wire gauge and I need to buy some extra wire the same gauge to clean up the installation

Thanks for posting this DIY Simota1. Finished install yesterday. Bought the fog light from Z1 Motorsports. It was simple to install and thank goodness my 2 10mm bolts on the dummy light didn't have locktight. Used the green wire on my passenger side taillight as a power source. Using as a brake light and works great!

Are you asking how to secure it? If so, I used zip ties to secure it to the rear bumper. Make sure it's far enough away from the exhuast. Don't want it to get hot and melt. LOL.
