Just to follow up with all of the responses. A member did post a thread "Manual Trunk Release" and it turns out that we do have a manual release cable

Just to follow up with all of the responses. A member did post a thread "Manual Trunk Release" and it turns out that we do have a manual release cable for the trunk. It is on the left side (Driver Side) in the back by the support bar. Remove the carpet in the back and you'll see a small handle there.
BTW..The manual also identifies this as well. PROBLEM SOLVED!!
