The transmission jack I got from HF had no problems holding the trans under the car during a CSC replacement. Even at 16.5" it would have been a tight fit but probably still doable.

Maybe use the QJ to lift the car on jack stands. Then drop the QJ and add some 2x12 under them (maybe 2 layers worth to give an extra 3.5"). Turn lift the car again with the QJ now sitting on a higher foundation. The 2x will not crush and will be damn stable. That's potentially 21". I'd even screw the 2x together for more stability.

Good idea, simple and cheap!

Yesterday I used my QuickJack to lift my wife's Toyota Matrix. The A/C drain had gotten clogged up and I ran a coat hanger wire through it. Unfortunately that didn't reach correctly so I had to pull the glove box out to get to the drain. Finally got it cleared out with some compressed air. I bet a gallon of water drained out of there!
While the car was jacked up I went ahead and did an oil change. The lift still works like a champ! Each time I use it it takes less time to setup. Next week is the Super Charger install so it will get a work out once again. I plan on keeping the car on the lift the whole time so that I don't have to bend over so far to work on it. Us old guys need all the help we can get!

Note to anyone planning on doing this. Don't lay under the drain with your mouth open when trying to clear the clog.

I bet you still smile every time you press the button and the car starts to fly. I do when I lift my car. I always think, "Damn this is easy! Why didn't I get his years ago!"

Here I am using the QJ to install my new supercharger! I used the lower setting so I don't have to bend over so far while working under the hood. Works great!!

What is so cool about this setup is that it drives very much like it did stock except for a much more sensitive throttle response. After a little practice with the new throttle feel, I can drive it so anyone riding with me would not know the potential of the car.

With the 9 psi pulley and TopgunZ's air to air intercooler mod, I'm hoping for around 450 rwhp. The EcuTek dyno tune is scheduled for the 25th. It should be a blast!

First dyno pull was 400whp. The boost was 8.4 psi which is lower than expected so I'm in search of a leak. The boost should be around 10 psi. The car is still a beast.
![]() Now that the car is fast I needed to slow it down as well. I used my QJ this weekend to install the Akebono sport brakes. They sure look good with the red calipers! ![]() I can now setup the QJ from a stored location in about 5-7 minutes. It really is a Quick Jack!
