Installing Fortune Auto 500 True Rear coils.

So I finally ordered my FA 500 true rear coils. along with all the suspension arms to go with it, (SPL, toe, camber, traction, FUCAS) any tips when installing? I heard if you don't lube everything up it might get squeaky? what lube should be used and where? Overall seems like a pretty standard procedure but any help would be nice!

Check the DIY section. Rusty has done a DIY for pretty much every SPL part. I'm pretty sure there's an FA install in there, too. I have a set but I've never heard anything about them being squeaky. Anti-sieze is a must for most of the SPL parts.

Not sure what squeaking you’re referring to but many coilovers squeak because the springs are struggling to rotate against the perch on compression

Some Swift Thrust washers solve that problems. Ive used them on multiple coilovers and it solves that issue

Sweet where can I get those? is that the swift like the spring brand swift?

You just need to know the diameter of the springs Fortune uses

EDIT:
Do you have the SPL Mid-links? If so, those require 65mm ID springs (2.5 inch)
If you ordered from Fortune with a divorced set up, call the immediately and make sure they are sending you 65mm ID springs

Otherwise they may be sending you some 5 inch ID ones for the OEM bucket which will not work with the SPL midlinks

oh, i missed that

then ignore the spring diameter issue for the midlinks

the thrust washers will work on true types as well. Just gotta do minor disassembly of the coilover. and ask Fortune what their spring diameter is

I just did the FA 510s with the true coil rear. I also installed the SPL Front upper A arm, rear traction, toe and camber arms. Not all were done at the same time. The end result is a better ride and handling. The factory setup leaves so much to be desired. Adjustability is the thing that I like the most about the new setup. It is mostly all new to the car, but so far it is worth the price of admission.
