I know you said you don't want BC but i've got friends tracking those on 350zs and 370zs with Swift springs and they're pretty happy with them. Powertrix seem to be a pretty good budget coilover for street and some track use. I have a set of these on my Z31 300ZX. Also there's a new company with an offering for the 370z called Annex Suspension. They actually rode with me in my 370z equipped with Mines Ohlins ESTA coilovers to get a feel for them so that they could engineer some of that into their design. I know both the owners behind these two companies and the design/engineering philosophy behind their products. I highly recommend either of them as a budget coil over. Stay away from Megan, Godspeed, Tein, KW and HKS, the feedback i've gotten from people about those are usually around quality, adjustability and a poor ride.

![]() It's not hearsay (heresay according to you) when you have a FIA Bronze driver, 2012 Sony Playstation GT Academy Winner and Nissan driver giving you this feedback. Along with the feedback from an established grassroots motorsports program that revolves around Nissans, data acquired across the Z32, Z33, Z34 and R35 platforms. What else ya got? You like Tein Monoflexes...odd flex but ok.

There really are only like 4 places that make coilover components. They're contracted by a billion different brands to make coilovers, and how "good" each brand's stuff is may vary based on the contracts in place

Locally, Tein has a great reputation, everybody are getting them, I wouldn't say they are bad, they are good for what they are, I tried a brz with flex Z and it was much better than stock, but I could attribute it to the soft stock suspension (which is good with stock tires, but when you jump to high grip tires, you start feel they are not up to the task). The Z on the other hand, has a very well engineered suspension and good with grippy tires if you have front negative camber.
But as I said in my first response, Valving is more important than spring rates, and for that, you need a reputable custom coilovers shop. Personally, I went with MCA suspension, an Australian company, they have a big reputation there, I am very amazed with the quality and how they ride in street, although I feel the rear is softer than what I would like in track (but their customer service is good and we are talking to see what we can change in the setup), but cannot complain in street, I was going to remove my AC to make it full fledged track car, but now I think it is very streetable and wouldn't go that route.

Some of you new guys need to go do some searching on this site and read for a month. Then, maybe you can talk intelligently about suspension. Your not gonna get data, you going to get someone's experiences. There have been and still are some great track guys on here. Please take the time to educate yourself before spitting out nonsense and demanding data. Like someone is just going to give it to you, Really. LMFAO....

I actually did see the long thread after I found it a few months ago lol. But just like @Hotrodz is saying, there are way too many variables and preferences.

How about becoming a premium member and help contribute to the cause. Some of us have been around and these questions have been asked and answered numerous times. There lots advice that has given from pro drivers to very competitive grass roots individuals. It you are chasing suspension it is complex and variable. It all depends on what you want and how much you want to spend to get it.
