It's about time, gutting the Nismo suspension.

Well, I like the Nismo suspension but it can be better. Here is the list of goodies I am getting ready to install.

Aragosta Coilovers: 12K/10K springs
Eibach swaybars front and rear
SPL Front upper control arms
SPL Rear Camber arms
SPL Rear Traction arms
SPL swaybar endlinks front and rear

And what ever else I can find. LOL
Getting all this dialed in is going to be fun.

You replacing the front lower control arm bushings? It will tighten the front up more.

And you replacing the bearings in the rear knuckles?

You could also do SPL mid links since your going with coil overs, getting rid of the OEM spring bucket. Which also gets rid of the only eccentric adjustment point left.
If it were me I'd do away with the traction arms and spend the money on mid links. I had adj. traction arms for a little while and put the OEM back on.

Noop, Going to stay stock on those. I have done similar on other cars and it is just too much for a DD.

I'm with Rusty, I did the bushing as well and it really tightens things up. I don't have mid links, and I have not had issues with the traction arms yet, but she has not seen any track time. We will see then and I will make adjustments if necessary.

Regarding the clunking with the bushings it was very noticeable until I drove the car hard at ZDAYZ. It no different than before now. I guess sometimes it pays to drive it like you stole it.

In those 25mph corners I can assure you I wasn't going that slow tached up in 2nd gear. I had a blast. Did your front tires get greasy at the end of a run?

I might do them later. The big question for me is what tires do I want to set it up to run? I really want to do RE11 285/35/19 front and 325/30/19 rear. I just don't know how many miles I can get out of them since I daily drive 104 miles a day to work.

By the way, my wife if digging into my little fund. She wants 2 more grand champion Chihuahua's. Being married to Ellie May Clampet can be a challenge some times.

It was loads of fun, I didn't have much issue with the tires as it was cool when we ran the Dragon. I have RE 11s on the rear and SO 4s up front. Between the grip of the rear tires being superior to the fronts I had to pay attention to the under steering, but it wasn't bad at all. I can't wait to do it again next year.

I have been browsing and searching the forum for awhile, but I haven't found anyone that has gone "full" SPL. The reason for the research is that after upgrading my wheels and rotors with much lighter ones my Z has really felt a lot more spry and nimble. This confirms the concept of improving handling by reducing unsprung weight.

So, what I am wondering is if I were to go "full" SPL titanium parts (which would be quite expensive), to what degree would that improve the handling just from weight savings.

Titanium is an amazing material, which I would think would give the car additional chraracteristics if designed correctly. So in combination with coilovers this seems like an compelling upgrade.

Has anyone gone full coilover/SPL?
