Well, that's a fair point, but still I'd argue it's pointless to try to fix low-RPM power in a high-revving V6. If you're just cruising, then just cruise, at low RPM. If you want power, downshift. To stomp the gas at 2,000 RPM and complain that you need better tuning or parts seems silly when the answer is just "downshift".

Default Z1 400HP Pack

As a promotion, we will install and dyno tune the Z1 400HP Package at Z1 Motorsports for $995 for the first 3 people that sign on. We will share all the results in this thread. In order to qualify for this special, we are going to insist that the cars are 6MT models in good mechanical condition. Cars will also need a suitable exhaust, intake system, Uprev license, and lightweight flywheel (all of which we can also provide and install if necessary). Call us with questions or for more details.

Uggg! My car is in storage for the winter . I still may drive down from Chicago in the spring for this and the tune/flywheel.

Because auto has a higher drivetrain loss and you can't get a lightweight flex plate or anything else really to lower rotational mass

so really it may not be making that much more hp than the guys dyno-ing around the 330 point? Just less loss due to the flywheel possibly?

they do offer a very good deal but doing this with only 6MT and already modded with other part... In my opinion, they are looking for high number to prove their kit is the best on the market right now ...

and they do have access to the VVEL and they might know a trick that other tuner doesn't which could give them a edge . even if its 5whp ... it is still 5whp more than others...

Well, it'd be shítty to be like hey guys, look! 320WHP! (20% drive train loss)

Oh... People had that before... Without those mods... Without a tune... Oh... (Btw, I have 322WHP in the wrong gear and no tune, and no headers... And auto... Lol)

And they just need to prove it makes 400 BHP on the proven platform. 6MT.

The drivetrain losses on 7AT aren't that horrible, but I totally understand them wanting a stable testing spec for the first few customers. Their sales depend on word of mouth and results from those installs, and it's hard to control for all the variables.

I always take with a grain of salt when the same shop/company who make a product and give their own dynosheet number for sale purpose.....

I'm not saying they will inflate their numbers and use some of their secret mods to get a bigger result.

I do agree their kit is very nicely priced for a kit like this.
995$ tuned for the first 3 , you cant beat that
then I think it was priced at 1200-1400 on their website ? still a very good price !!

unfortunately it cant beat my unique setup hehe

Way better put than my shitty explanation... And I'm sure the 7AT's loss isn't that much, again my dyno was 322 in the wrong gear/at the speed limiter without headers or a tune. So at a 20% loss I'm at 400 BHP without $1-3k of mods! Lol
