Even in TX, one can be on shaky ground shooting a thief outside your home. I certainly wouldn't recommend doing it but many Good Ol' Boys are willing to take their chances with a jury of their peers. I keep my hands off of other peoples' stuff.

Good job for catching this thief. I hope they put this guy away for a while, but most likely he'll be out in a few months and probation.

Did you get a copy of the police report or any details on this guy, post it up so everyone can see who he is, you're probably not the first person he stole from.
