RTFM isn't a good response to every post in this thread. I'm happy to help people. IMO if all you're going to post amounts to RTFM don't bother responding then, if the thread annoys you so much ignore it. /shrug

IMO that is a perfectly reasonable response to someone who clearly hasn't done any research and is looking to be spoonfed answers that are easily found. There are plenty of people who do their research, have some trouble finding specific details, and then ask for help. But then there are people who complain about reading the thread and proceed to ask the exact same question in a post on the same page
