Picking up a 370Z sport 6MT next month. I already have some new HKS Hypermax IV GT coil-overs that come from factory with a minimal 3/4" drop. Where I live here in N AZ the roads can have some pot holes and speed bumps and I also live in a house with a driveway that has a slightly steep incline so I am not looking for a big drop.

Been doing a lot of research on new wheels/tires and going to go with 19's at 9.5/+25 - 10.5/+12. I was thinking of just going with the Nismo spec tires (245/40, 285/35) but after seeing those pics above maybe the 265/305's might look better with the minimal drop. Don't want the sticking out poke look but I do like the more meaty look.

Opinions?

I'm 99% sure the fronts will clear, particularly bc there is a Z w/ sport brakes in the car gallery on that page

They will not be flush by most definitions, but much, much better than stock and look fine with appropriate tire sizes (265/305 is what most people do)

Also:

Z1 is selling these same wheels (with a nismo logo) and says they'll clear sport brakes

Longtime lurker, first time poster.

I'm looking to buy a set of wheels for autocross and I'm wanting to go 18x9.5 on all 4 corners without spacers. I'm less concerned about looks and more concerned about overall performance/ability to rotate the tires.

So far, I've narrowed my search down to:
Enkei PF07 18x9.5 +40 for the front
Enkei PF07 18x9.5 +15 for the back

According to willtheyfit, they should be pretty close to stock '13 nismo specs. But I've also seen some people suggest just running +15 all around.

How far off base am I? I'm also open to suggestions if anyone has any. This wheel stuff is new to me. Thanks in advance!

If you have the Akebono Sport brakes, you will probably need the +15. Even will non-sport brakes I would personally go with the +15 all around. Have you considered a wider wheel (10 or 10.5 ~+25 offset)?

Yeah, I've got the Akebonos. Wouldn't +15 in the front introduce quite a bit of poke?

With regard to the 10/10.5, I found that 9.5 was the sweet spot for tire cost/performance. Putting 10/10.5's on all 4 would be nice, but a bit expensive.

Hey guys!!!

Quick question before I spend money on something that won't work.

I have been running enkei rpf1s 18x10.5 +15 all around.

I had some 265/35/18 tires on all 4 corners and they are perfect. No rubbing at all. I found a set of Firehawk indy500s for a good price that had a bigger sidewall but should fit fine.

275/40/18 are the tires that I just got put on.

The front rub a little when I fully compress the springs over a bumps in the road. Otherwise they are fine. I wanted to know if I could get away with a little camber in the front or would I have to roll my fenders?

Currently on Swift springs with stock shocks/struts.

Thanks in advance!!

Add some camber and you shouldn't have to roll your fenders. Do you have fuca's.

I have some fucas from z1 but the stocks are on there now. Would I need them on to get the best fitment or would stock be fine for now?

You get what you paid for. The only fucas worth having is the SPL. A lot have made the mistake and bought other arms. Then turned around and bought the SPL's.

If I were to pick up some Forgestar F14 Super Deep Concave in 19x9.5 +15 and 19x11 +15, wrapped in 265/35/19 and 305/30/19 respectively...

Would they fit fine with sport brakes?

Furthermore, would they rub or need modifications on BC Racing BR coilovers, lowered about 1.5" in the front and 1.3" in the rear, with SPL rear camber arms and toe bolts (and as close to factory alignment specs as possible)? Should I raise the car a little bit to prevent rubbing, and if so, how much?

Thanks in advance!

Superdeep concave does not clear the akebonos. This is a known flaw with that wheel design, you have to get the regular concave to clear on that specific wheel.. I am not sure how much of a spacer you need to clear. At that point, I think you're going to need camber in front too avoid rubbing

SPL front upper control arms will give you full camber and caster adjustment

Rears should not be a problem at all
