Default 275 whp on land and sea dyno

Okay, so i got dynotuned at a local shop with uprev on a land and sea dyno. The mods that I have installed are k&n filters, z1 silicone intake tubes, FI LTH, and berk exhaust. The reading from the dyno just seems low to me...
Anyone have any ideas why?

Take the peak number with a grain of salt. What really matters is the curve of the powerband and the power being used within the band.

I made 307 with Stillen G3, FI CBE, MD ART pipes, and Stillen UD pulley. But the powerband is where it all matters. I was thinking it would be a bit higher and was a little bummed out about it. I also found out that the dyno my car was tuned on has many reports of reading low.

Still need a new tune now that I have FI LTH installed.

This. All dynos read different and it is your low end and midrange power is what you are going to feel most of the time. Also, did you happen to get some baseline numbers?

This.

Also, are you at high altitude?

What was the ambient temperature?

To help you feel better, my baseline dyno in 2009 was 245whp....I was very sad.

Do they know what a stock 370 puts down on that dyno?

Unfortunately, that means the numbers really don't mean anything. Don't assume that the car is down on power based on that. Go get a trap speed or re-dyno on a dynojet.

Or go "test drive" a bone stock 370z and do a little test somewhere....next to each other.

Your altitude is killing your numbers. That has a huge affect on N/A cars especially at the track. You got ideal temp for a dyno day it's just that it's harder for the vehicle to breathe.
