of course im going to check first lol!!! but thanks for the recomendation ;) here in PR i dont know to much Nissan tuners :( just one that works on GTR's

Ok, sitting here at SEMA with the geniuses from the mothership (EcuTek), and all I can tell you guys is the race rom feature file updates are very exciting. Ready to release for the GTR now. Why is this important to you? Simple, the GTR and the 370 share a great deal of the ecu logic.

Custom traction control, auto blip, launch control, speed density, boost control.......

Stay Tuned!!!

scionide 11-06-2013 04:21 PM

Custom traction control  my VDC kicks in too often (talkin like 5mph driving over a draining path with some water it'll kick in at times)

ANMVQ 11-06-2013 06:23 PM

Can't wait to hear more !

speed density and launch control(hopefully 2step)??????

now ecutek has my attention

carlitos_370z 11-07-2013 05:23 AM

very very interested on this!!! hope to find some one on my area that tune the 370z with this ecu... if not i have to learn how to tune lol!!!

2 step can already be done with UpRev

Ehhhh bouncing off the fuel cut rev limiter is hardly a 2-step.

Uprev does not have a 2 step at all

2step is ignition cut, uprev only does fuel cut

visconti 11-20-2013 10:31 PM

Hey Guys

I'm not getting any Tapatalk or email alerts for PMs etc

I've just replied to like 15 PMs

I think I fixed the settings now.

EcuTek plans on working on more advanced RaceRom features for this platform very soon

Thanks

No problem dude i let you know... But first i have to intall the parts ;-) im just cheking out for now... And know what to do at the time to make the tune of my car... Btw im going to send you a pm ;-)

Chuck33079 12-05-2013 03:35 PM

Does Ecutek allow fueling to be fine tuned for each bank, or is it a global adjustment?

visconti 12-05-2013 03:37 PM

EcuTek can do both :)

Very nice. That's a point that should be used as a selling point, since Uprev only allows a global adjustment and there's some variance bank-to-bank.

visconti 12-05-2013 06:26 PM

I guess, the big selling point to me is the total timing control, that with the upcoming features..

Well, other than timing there hasn't been a whole lot of A vs B on currently available features. That would be a good thing to have up there.

Holy 12-05-2013 06:45 PM

What exactly is timing control? How would our cars benefit from it? I'm getting a tune within a week or two and I might give ECUTEK a shot.

EcuTek has given us the ability to have a "simplified" ignition timing control where we, the tuner has the ability to precisely control the amount of ignition timing degrees like "normal". Nissan's factory timing strategy is rather complicated and the values in the factory maps can be confusing and won't give us a consistent value at the end of the day. The more control we have the better so the ECU cannot over advance or retard, very important especially for forced induction applications.

So it essentially makes it more convenient for tuners to tune FI systems efficiently. Would ignition timing make a marginal difference on a NA setup?

Timing makes a difference regardless. Being able to set values and not have the ecu change them is very helpful.

I see. I think I'll go with ECUTEK and post the results. I'm aiming for 305 whp, but more importantly a smooth curve on the dyno.

Just spoke with Cody from fa20club.com located in Miami. He offers both uprev and ECUTEK, he works primarily on FI FRSs/BRZs and GTRs. He assured me that ECUTEK is far better than Uprev and it would be by far the better option. I'm going to setup an appointment with him as soon as I get my car back early next week! Can't wait.
