Different tunes for bank 1 and bank 2
Hi all. I am new to the Z world in 2013 and have a question about getting a tune.
The bank 1 exhaust cam has about 1.7mm less lift than the bank 2 exhaust cam per the 2012 service manual. This implies that each bank might require a slightly different tune for best performance. Can and should the ignition timing, a/f, intake cam timing for each bank be tuned independently with the ECUtek software? |
Alright
Just got off dyno with a G37X Auto. So now I have some nice Stock Vs UpRev vs EcuTek dynosheets I'll try and post up more later night John |

I feel it's biased toward Ecutek for some reason.... no hate here. |

I am leaning toward purchasing this system because of the "soon to come features" but for the life of me, I do not understand why the very first post does not have a stock dyno run and a after run in it yet? from a member? I realize this system does not require a dyno to tune, but ya think someone here would be interested to know if it really worked vs there butt dyno.

So I was over on the frs/brz forum to see what's come out for them from Ecutek, they have the option for end user tuning now!
I know being able to self tune was a make a break deal for a lot of people here so, this will be an option for us eventually too I hope? |

That's some expensive time there...$350 for an e-tune? Your competition offers them at 50 for an E-tune. Dyno tunes are less and can get a better quality tune. |

Go look at their thread and see how that $50 tune is working out, seriously. $350 is cheap when it comes to tuning. John Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Getting very close There's been a few projects that had to be completed first, Brz got pushed back but is out the door now, and GTR is going through some testing before released.. While the testing is going on development is moving forward quickly on the g37/370z All I can say it's coming Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Just curious how many G37 and 370Z did you Etune it and how did it go?
|
Very impressed with the way ecutek is coming along and the change in the service your providing to your future customers. I know you took a lot of crap from us including from me in the beginning and I apologize for that now. Your dedication and determination to this platform is very much appreciated. Definitely looking forward to this. Built motor and boost with ecutek will be very fun and most impprtantly I'll enjoy the peace of mind.

Thanks, this is only the beginning , a lot more to come John Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Hello Fellow Members, I reached out to Ecutek International to get a status update on the next release for the 370z/G37 platforms.
Ecutek International responded with the following: Hi Warpeacelove, it is work in progress as I write this. I would say it will be released to you guys in the next 2 months or so. Keep watching our page and we will keep you updated on progress. https://www.facebook.com/EcuTek |

Does this mean it will fix my MPG reading? I'm getting like 14 and it thinks it's pulling 30.

John, is the software itself available for download to check out the user interface before purchasing any licenses?

I could do a screenshare |
Any updates on this at all? Wondering when all the new features are coming out.
|
"It's being worked on still" is what I was told last month. Always seeing updates on the GT-R or FRS...
Maybe new features will be released when the Z35 comes out |

yup definitely sux. I took the chance on Ecutek with all the advancements they were working on and the hope of the GTR features trickling down to us at some point. Now I have a tune that I can't even have map switching on :/

Isnt it still only just one map? Unless I missed that update to mulitple maps.
|
That was just a question. I know nothing about Ecutek. I run UpRev

Biggest bitch is that you don't own the license either. It's on your car, not something you can take off |

Guess I will just save up for uprev then. At least then I can have map switching.
|
Even though our platform is far, farr from the most profitable for them to develop, I wish they'd at least finish up basic features like map switching for the few of us who took the plunge...
*Shoulda gone uprev :(* |
Guys, Ecutek is far from dead.
I have confirmation from Ecutek in the U.K. the 370Z platform is NOT dead. They advised they are 100% behind the platform and they are still hard at work developing the RaceROM features. They confirmed they have 2 engineers dedicated to the platform/project. For all those who either have or thinking about going down the Ecutek route, this is a leap of faith. I for one feel very confident, based on feedback from Ecutek, in addition to the other platforms they have developed for, they will come through as they said they would. All one has to do is look to the other platforms that already have Ecutek Advanced RaceRom features..............It's off the charts. For me, I will be patient and look forward to the final release. Only then, will we be able to compare the feature set vs. UpRev and determine if the Ecutek 370Z platform is really dead or not. |
