Mine is the same (Seb's settings) and I have a 19 row oil cooler, NA. Works great!

Interesting -- I don't have an oil cooler (I rarely see temps over 220 even beating on it), so was wondering if setting the temps a bit lower was advisable or not.

I don't know if the fan is rated for 'always-on' setting. But an oil cooler is my next mod.

I wanted to avoid the overheating in stop and go traffic and that is when the oil cooler really is doing nothing for you.... the rest of the time, the fan cycle is not an issue if I am at hiway speeds. I don't track so this is a very conservative setup to keep my engine cool when it needs it.

Depending where you placed the oil cooler the fan being on will have a good and constant draw of air across the cooler. My AC is on almost all the time and that is the fan I have the cooler in front of so as long as my AC is on I have a constant draw of air cooling the oil. Seems to work great I have to really work to get to 220 most of the time it is at 200.

Informative post! I'd like to see some settings for users with upgraded components like the radiator and oil cooler.

Jordo (or anyone), do we have a picture of what the factory settings are for comparison?

This is from the UpRev master ROM I have. I am assuming it is the same settings as stock. (Sorry the screenshot came out kinda big lol)

from what i have seen on here yes, that ^ is stock setting and is very ridiculous how the factory set that up on a hot running engine.hell with just my temp fan switch, the car feels strong all the time now.cant wait to get mine done.

Anyone know for sure whether the ECU smooths out the duty cycle through the specified temps, or if they're hard steps (e.g. exactly at 217, it jumps from 55 to 85).

^^^^ those are the stock settings above in #9 post.

I'd also like more thoughts on optimal cooling for those of us without an oil cooler.

I think you can datalog fan duty cycles either in Cyper or Rom editor with RTT map trace log feature running , but I'm sure it does extrapolate between points.

I cant remember mine, Been 2 months or so since I had it changed and the car has been down the last month, But I "THINK" Mine come on at 185 and 100% by 195. All I know after I did it a saw no oil or trans temps over 188, and there where some 100 deg days here at that time. When I retune I'll get the exact numbers, But thats the 25th :/

did any of u guys try to increase ac pressure for better cooling for the heat exchanger ? since their are 2 options for cooling one is by temp and the other by ac pressure , which i guess if we increased by a bit it would be more friendly i didnt mess with it yet just trying to see who did thanks
