Conti challenge: Laguna Seca

That was craaaaazy.
The race broadcast will be one to watch.
Never give up....keep digging... Even when they kick you in the shins.
A lot happened in the last hour of this race.
Got a huge run on a BMW only to have him move over on me...hit me off track...hit me again..he got sideways...and then he came back 3 laps later to dump me.
Next...we got a penalty for avoidable contact... Mind you...we were the ones that got hit TWiCE!
The 48 car also was told to report to the pits for a drive through after dumping me...and never did.
With 5 minutes left ...we went from p11 to p4 after a huge melee on the front stretch.
Look for the whole...go through thesmoke and pray.
The winning car ran out of gas in turn 1 @ th checkered flag.
The 48 finished p3 but never served its penalty.
We have been told we will be moved to p3 ...but didn't get to celebrate on the podium.
We are awaiting "final" results...
All in all it was insane... And again really happy for the team !
The track went to absolute junk and we were very quick on a slick track.
Now....going to th 48s trailer to claim our trophies...and head to the bar!

IMHO the avoidable contact penalties in both the Rolex and Conti series this year have been a joke. From my stand point it seems as soon as a car tries to make a move on another and the lead car makes a late block causing contact it's always the car making the initial move that gets the penalty. Complete BS if you ask me. If they can't see the move coming and block when they should, it's the blocking car that should receive the penalty. /end rant
