Tonight I started running the most complex part to machine. Tonight I will get the 2 of the 4 programs on this part complete. The next evening I run the machine will do the 2 finishing programs on it. Then all the significant machining is done. What will be left is level sensor mounts and fuel pump install clamps and a little welding. Pics on the Facebook!

I told ya guys that it would be a slow start but that when it's getting worked on, I hustle! I gotta get this done... I got 100 other products to be working on to release for you guys.

Thoughts beyond that? I'm not here to teach them anything so I will not highlight the design's inherent flaws.. But to put it simply, that is an extremely elementary layout. It's 2 pumps in a box. Nothing to see here.

We already built a twin fuel pump hanger for the 370z. It's in stock and ready to go, and is more functional than that concept they have. It's a proven design with over 100 units sold between the 350 and 370 (same design).

So to answer your your question... How it compares to ours? It can't... it doesn't hold a candle to our RRP. They are 10 years behind me on fuel system engineering.

No problem I'm glad you posted it, I got a kick out of reading that.

Without getting into the several problems with that design that will cause severe functionality limitations that they will hopefully address before production... I'd like to point out one elephant in the room with it.

While they address it as "very affordable".. Let's take note that it clearly requires an external fuel filter and pressure regulator and return fuel system conversion. So while their pump there may end up costing less by itself... You are looking at a lot more expense by the time it's in the car.

Our road race pump is much more adaptable. Capable of working with factory returnless systems or completely wild fuel systems, from stock HP to over 1000 on gasoline or E85.

Most of the road racing guys have no need for all that hoopla... Our base RRP kit is PnP inside the gas tank. With customer reports coming in that our RRP is performing down to a completely empty tank... There's simply no room for anyone to do better!

This batch is still coming along well. All the real significant machining is done. Our fabricator is welding up the tall canister sections over the next several days. Tonight we have to machine more of the level sensor mounts for him... we had like 9 left over from last time.

After that... its a CNC batch of our fuel pump install kits (the billet clamp from our FPI kit is included in the road race pump kit and I dont have enough left in stock right now to complete this RRP batch).

Then, lastly, some lathe work to finish off the larger diameter lower canister section... then off for anodizing.

The level sensors mounts were finished the other day.

Material is on order for the billet fuel pump install clamps. I overlooked that material on the initial order. We will probably have that come in Wednesday or Thursday and then get them done immediately. So my goal is to get to lower canister section lathed and cnc'd by the time that material arrives. I believe that it's quite possible we may done with production next Saturday.

That is when the parts go out for surface prep and finishing... Which usually takes 7-10 days to get back.
