I have the GTM SC kit and from a 40 roll I killed a 2012 5.0 with Rousch intake and exhaust and tune at least 6 times... at 40 in 2nd at 4000rpms just step on it instantly full 8psi and gone like he was standing still but from a dig it was closer BC of their tq number being so high....

Be careful with that street racing talk.

Since OP hasn't even been back to this thread, I'm guessing he wasn't really all that interested in the answer. And since it's had to be cleaned at least twice ... I see no reason to let it keep going.
Short answer is beating a mustang in the 1/4 is going to take some serious add ons. You will probably have to overnight parts from Japan. |

There's no need to lock anything, there are plenty of cars on this forum that would shame a 5.0 out of the box, key is to get traction. After mods and tune I didn't stop spinning rears thru 2nd until I put RE-11 305's on and when they're new they REALLY grab: stock widths are not handling the power that these UpRev'd Z's are generating so they end up toasted twice as fast as fronts. OP should look to standards.. G3, CBE, and tune, and some fatter rears with slightly stretched tires for max response. FTW.
