Good Job!

DA was worse in the second run also due to temp rising a good bit. I also think there may have been some oil on the track. Quite a few delays due to blown engines. Lots of POS cars were running. I'll get better. Just wanted to get a bit of a feel for the car with these runs. :driving:

Jesus christ. ..i was 3373 on the track scale before i did the rest of my carbon fiber transformation

SG4247 11-14-2016 02:51 PM

Exactly!

how can a two seat car, with an aluminium deck lid, hood, aluminium V6 block and heads - weigh that freaking much?

I know the AT is heavy...but really?

Heck I only had 1/4 tank of fuel to boot.

shadow85 11-22-2016 06:35 AM

So whay do the guys with a Stillen SC kit running 420-500 whp run on the 1/4 mile?

jchammond 11-27-2016 07:11 AM

Nothin wrong with that!

What seems to be the biggest/best mod that helps improve your time?

Only 1 pass got clocked/ 2nd run didn't register...lol...the highly modded cars were continuously breaking.

Lmao, ran the same time w/ K&N drop in filters...back up a couple pages..like April 14' or so....I was heavier this time(tires, fuel, junk in the back) wanted to ensure traction out the hole.

Yes... This DA and 5500ft elevation kills your ET's :shakes head:

It's like running a 100 meter dash breathing through a straw!

I know I can run in the 10's just need to trailer my car for 6 hrs to Phoenix

Yes that is the plan if "work" does not get in the way

Are you going?

I heard they are pretty strict so I might only have one chance-one run and will more than likely get kicked out.

I spoke to the C6 Z06 forum group that lives in Phoenix and they told me good luck you only have one shot at a run. They have been kicked out because the track calculated what they run based on the 60ft and 1/8 mile even thought they let go and ran high numbers in the 1/4.

Hotrodz 11-28-2016 10:03 PM

Yup they get so many cars that you can't get that many runs in. GeauxTigers is going, he has FI TT set too. I'm headed to SoCal for the weekend via Las Vegas. The do a drag night called Midnight Manheim. I don't know if I will run but I have a bunch of friends that are going. Same deal though, cheap to run but you can only expect to get a couple of runs.

Blue Ranger-who are you!? LOL It's tough to tell if you're one of the guys I'm already meeting there! Trying to get Bob (hotrodz) and Lee out there. Lee has another buddy too. Not sure if your are either of those. can't freaking wait dude!

I feel you. Calgary is at 3800' heck I'm going to run a 9lb pulley just to compensate for the altitude.

Next summer we are going to take a road trip to Mission BC where they have a strip and a road course and turn some times at sea level on e85. Now that's going to be fun! I'm hoping mid 11's here, should be able to break the into the high 10's down by the beach on ethanol :driving:

Seb better be on standby with his laptop for tuning lol

I met you through Lee on FB and I am going as long as I can get a trailer.

Ok now i get it...i was 3373 and i too have a 2011 7at but i wasn't in the car when they weighed it but im also 275lbs so i guess we're pretty close. However that was before my full carbon transformation, 8/6 pot bbk, bride seats and air ride system so im really not sure where I'd be now cuz ive added and subtracted on soooo many parts...imreally curious what weight i am now with the newest mods...

I ran a new personal best but I'm a little disappointed. I really think the car has more in it as it sits but either my exhaust is limiting me or my gears. I think the tracks are closed for the season here so I'll most likely be dyno a few setups over the winter to see how it goes. The first slip is my best 60' time. The last 2 are my best 1/4 mile times.

Ran one pass at 10.92et 133mph (1700DA) then got booted!

Good job AJ & Blue!!! I'm gonna hold off till the spring & hopefully have my headers on & a retune....I gotta get down where AJcool's at & my 275lb azz & 3.36 diff isn't helping much.
Great Runs Guy's!

You need to get a 3.69 or a 4.08 diff on your car. When I was NA I felt it was one of the best mods on my car.

ajcool2 12-08-2016 12:44 PM

Just for future references my mods on my 12.47 runs were the following:

RPM longtube headers
NST Pulleys
Ark Grip Exhaust
GTR Injectors
340lph Fuel Pump
Z1 Intake Manifold
AAM intakes
High Stall Torque Converter
Stock Wheels and Tires
Cryo Treated Flexplate
93 Pump Gas
Uprev Tune

The car is setup for E85 but I was not running it at the time. The car weight is 3380 with me in it.

Your 60ft an ET is great for NA!

What elevation is the track and stall converter are you running?

FPenvy 12-08-2016 08:06 PM

I think capitol raceway is only at like 40 ft above sea level.

Darlington Dragstrip in SC is open today & next Saturday 12-5 test/tune.....if i can shake this sinus headache-would love to break into the 12's before 2017'
