I have only had 2 experiences with racing the new SS. One was from a guy doing a 45 roll he didn't come around me till 120. The second the guy claims he had intake and exhaust if that is the case he really just did not know how to drive b/c it wasn't even close. I still think of my car being stock b/c right now I only have stillen ud pulley and drop in k&n air filters. Future mods when I get back from Afghan. in Sept. will be F.I. LTH, CBE, Uprev Tune. Still debating on intake and maybe NST overdrive alternator pulley. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Once all is done I will be mowing down my buddies 2000 slowmaro SS with full bolt on's and tune. Sorry for getting off topic.

Don't piss your buddy off too much. He'll spend like $500 on a cam and spank you. Damn LS1s.

Ya LOL Lucky for me though he can't afford to dump much into his car for a long while, not to mention he can only get his car down to a 13.5-13.3 at best but big weight difference he is 400lbs. For what he has done to his car it's running like weak sauce. We let one of our other buddies drive it who is obviously not as heavy and has a lot more exp. at the wheel and got his car in at a 12.9
Not to mention I plan to get the GTM SC stage 2 next year before the summer kicks off

...and POP goes the 4-cylinder S10 rear-end.
...Twist goes the rear-1/4 panel.
...Bubble goes the paint on the rear-sail.
...crack goes the hard plastic dash in the sunlight.

I had a few friends with these cars back in the day. I knew about the crappy rear-end but the rear 1/4 panel? too much torque?

It happens when you run a DR without SFC's. Even a hard launch on good pavement and sticky street-tires will ripple the 1/4 panel. Look at a few LS1 F-bodies if you get a chance. Lots of them show it.

I know the hardtop 3rd gen f-body's had the cracked roof issue on the hardtop models. After that you'd think GM would have learned (or cared?).
