Depending on car goals.. think safety mods. I know, boring compared to performance mods.. but roll-bar, harnesses, seat, HANS.. Otherwise I agree with what some said above. Seat time -

Otherwise I agree with what some said above. Seat time - big time. I also did it the opposite and didn't know if my mods were helping me or not.

Do your track mods one at a time. Brake pads, fluid and oil cooler first. That will keep you on the track the longest at first. Once you start getting experience and getting faster. Then you can start doing other mods. Get a notebook and keep track on what changes you make and record their results.
