If you're gonna track, base brakes are going to be overwhelmed quickly. The base calipers do not provide enough force, the pads are sub-par and the fluid will boil.

With the sport brakes the calipers are big enough, the pads are just ok and the fluid will still boil.

You can buy a complete used Akebono brake kit on this forum in the classifieds section for about $1000 USD. You will not be able to do the same with any other aftermarket kit that is worth putting on. In my opinion, that's pretty much the least expensive, reliable and proven big brake kit you can put on the Z34.
