Looks like everyone but Rwilliams8586 made it today. Great turnout! Good to see you all again.

Pintsize725 06-03-2012 02:38 PM

Nice to catch up with you guys! I'm down for a dinner and drinks type thing if there is any interest.

Jar, here's what i was quoted from Crosslink. Seem to high? " We have a minimum charge of $150.00 + $125 per hour for media blasting. If you wanted it powder coat one color it would cost you $240.00 + tax. This price would include media blasting, zinc primer, & top coat (any one-coat color you choose that we have in stock"

JARblue 06-03-2012 03:14 PM

Good time today. Nice to see/meet y'all

Tracie, that would make sense because the wheels are going to easily meet the minimum but shouldn't take too much more time/labor. Sounds like you should get together anything and everything you might consider powder coating and do it all at once. There are also probably other alternatives to powder coating for the strut tower brace.

Rwilliams8586 06-03-2012 10:49 PM

I will try to catch you next time

I Was disappointed I couldn't make the event today. I came down with strep thraot yesterday and was out of commission today.

I look forward to meeting everyone

Hope you're feeling better.

We do this every month --- Austin C & C happens first Sunday of every month. We've also had some interest inn meeting up some evening to grab a bite or something.

austex 06-04-2012 10:02 AM

Sounds good - If anyone would like to meet up prior to one month I would be interested. I live off of S.Congress but can meet up where ever. Relocated to Austin a couple months ago and enjoy meeting good people. Previously owned an 08 350z and was part of the Z-club in Nebraska; it was a blast.

Talk to you later,

Ryan

New here and wanted to say hello. Just moved to south Atx from New Orleans and purchase a 2010 370z coupe. It's stock, but I'll be looking to make some mods in the near future. Hopin to make your next meetup and meet y'all.

Welcome and Congrats. What color did you get?

We do the Austin Cars & Coffee in Leander the first Sunday of every month. We're also looking to meet-up sometime before the next C & C for drinks and food somewhere.

Thx ya'll...I went with the Pearl White. I was hoping for Black, but this white looks classy hell.

We had the Austin Cars & Coffee in Leander on Sunday. Don't think we have anything planned for this weekend.

Pintsize725 06-06-2012 09:25 AM

Well since no one takes initiative, how about something this weekend? Dinner? Drinks? Just a meet up to talk about cars? Someone can troubleshoot mine? :p

I'm free Friday - Sunday.

bx_superior 06-06-2012 09:29 AM

When and where is the next one??!!

We are available Friday or Saturday evening. Something similar to the Opal Divine's gathering y'all did a few weeks ago sounds ideal (i.e. good drinks with food options). I'm open to other more central locations if people not up north are interested. I would throw out some downtown suggestions, but parking is definitely not ideal for a Z group meeting.

I'm down for central as long as there is decent parking. How about a Friday night thing?

Sounds good. There's a Flying Saucer at 45th and Lamar, but I think their food options are lacking. Of course, I will always recommend Trudy's for decent drinks and food - there's one near 30th and Guadalupe, although the North and South locations have much better parking options. Another really Austin place is Freddies on S. 1st (near Mary). The parking lot is small but there's a decent amount of neighborhood parking nearby. They have outdoor areas with washer pits and probably will have some live music starting around 8 pm or so.

Zaggeron 06-06-2012 10:34 AM

This Friday's no good for me, but I'd be up for Saturday evening.

I'm flexible to Saturday but wouldn't be able to be there until 9 or so since I'm expecting my Z to be at the dealership all weekend. Basically have to wait until the husband is out of work for anything on Saturday.

We can do Saturday.

On a side note, my buddy ordered some tobacco for when he comes back to Austin from Puerto Rico this summer and just shipped it directly to me to hold it. I opened up the box, and I guess he is having trouble finding Bali Shag now - he had ordered a bunch of Amsterdam Shag. :icon17: I pulled a pouch out for myself and had a couple cigarettes last night - very tasty.

Don't let me hold ya back. If Friday works best for most of y'all then do it on Friday and I'll just catch the next one.

Something to consider: ROT Rally is this weekend. Central locations might be packed!

Oh yea.... Definitely stay away from downtown. Y'all just keep figuring it out and I'll stay tuned to see what the final verdict it.

Pintsize725 06-07-2012 10:18 AM

Ok I'm back for Friday since the Spurs are out of the tourney.

How about these options, let's say Friday at 8? Recommend anything else you might be interested in.

Billy's On Burnet
2105 Hancock Drive, Austin, TX

Flying Saucer
815 West 47th Street

Opal Divine's Penn Field
3601 South Congress Avenue

I rather enjoy KD myself, especially given the Longhorn background. Too bad he couldn't play for a Texas team.

Who's in for this Friday at 8 pm? And what area are you coming from so we can try to accommodate everyone? Tracie and I are pretty far north...

Decent choices there, except I'm thinking the Opal Divine's up north would be a better location (Mopac @ Parmer) due to ROT Rally. And if I remember correctly, Billy's has a very small parking lot. I used to go to Jorge's a lot just a street over on Hancock, but it's been years.

Trudy's North Star (183 @ Burnet)

Little Woodrow's isn't half bad - they don't serve food, but you can bring your own or have it delivered to the bar. I think there's several - one is just a few blocks from us (Parmer @ McNeil)

There are some pretty good places in the Domain, although typically pretty expensive, too - Fleming's comes to mind.

I'm always down for Opal's north. Just wanted to put some options out there for our Southern folk. Hopefully one of them chimes in. Anyone know any good places off Mopac or even 360?

Basically my entire professional sports allegiances are based on where Texas Longhorns are playing. :icon17: I definitely have some state pride, so I root for Texas teams when I can.

Rudy's on 360 :D There's also a Tres Amigos, I believe. Both are near south intersection of Mopac @ 360.

Zaggeron 06-07-2012 10:52 AM

Rudy's is a good choice!

Pintsize725 06-07-2012 12:16 PM

I'm in for Rudy's if everyone else is OK with it.
Don't hate me if I show up in the 350 though.
