I wanted to get off the Internet, and meet some Austin people from this
forum, and see some cars, but didn't see anything going down (nothing
free at least), so we formed this group, Austin370Z.

Sorry Guy, Once again I will be out of town. I will be in California for the Grand Prix of Long Beach then off to Las Vegas for a few day. I will have to catch up with you all next time.:tup:

I'd be game but I'll be in Angelo putting on the Nismo rear & the Stillen front hopefully. the booth is booked till wed now... I'll be glad to meet up with any of y'all when I get back though.

Sorry Sho. The meets usually last an hour or an hour and a half or so. Small showing this week so we were out of there at 6:30. Next meet-up is likely Sunday May 1 for the next Austin Cars and Coffee in Leander.

its the cup cake meet for the fast five mid night movie release on the 28th, might have lots of people attending

where: tinseltown theater in pflugerville

I went to the Cupcake meet at the Galleria in Jan '10 and that was pretty fun. 370zs were severely underrepresented as only me and another forum member were there with our Zs. I can see the Tinseltown meet going badly or going well depending on how well it gets organized and self-policed ... lol

In any case, I'm up for the Leander meet.

It's alright, no worries. Next time. Can't make the May 1st on but I can do the movie thing for sure. I got it marked & hopefully I'll have a lil more done to my Z by then too.

The only 370z at the movie primer of Fast Five... so sad. lol

Bet there were lots of Scion XBs with lots of flashing lights and neon -- if it's like other cupcake meets I've seen :) lol

lol sorry, i was going to go but had a dentist apointment earlier that day and did really feel all that good to drive to austin and then drive back that late at night after that.

hope it was a good movie at least, havent seen it yet

Awesome movie... just stay after the credits for the real ending!

I totally missed the Austin roll call until just now. Probably no go for next Sat either. But I guess lots of work is better than the alternative. Hopefully join you guys sometime in June.

@ JARblue We've been getting together one or two times a month for over a year now. Had a good showing a couple of week's ago at Austin Cars and Coffee in Leander. Hope to see you at one of the June meets

I just signed up on the forum and got pointed over here. I'm in Killeen so I could come down to Austin occasionally. You guys ever meet like in the morning/afternoon and do a cruise around TX Hill Country? Lots of good twisty roads west of Austin.

Forgot to ask what is the po-po situation like at these night time meetings?

We've done some runs down Lime Creek Dr. There are also some larger groups in the Austin area that do more cruises -- e.g. CenTexVQ

No problems at all. The Saturday meets are usually small -- an average turnout is around 4-5 Z cars and 6-8 people. We usually just grab some coffee and shoot the breeze for a while. Nobody is doing burnouts or revving their motor so we don't get hassled.
