Cars and Coffee January 14, 2018 NEW LOCATION!!!!
Elite Motorsports and Concordia University Texas are proud to announce that we will be hosting our good friends, the Stony Point High School Solar Car Team, for January 2018 Cars and Coffee Austin! You may have spotted the team in attendance with their car at our December show.
As usual, there will be $5.00 show entrant donation fee per vehicle that will go to this group/charity. Spectators will have a separate parking lot (Lot B) next to the show lot. Spectator parking is free, but you are welcome to still donate to the group/charity if you would like. The Stony Point Solar Car Team is based in Round Rock, Texas at Stony Point High School. Their team is a passionate and dynamic group of aspiring engineers. They have built and designed their vehicle over the past few years. This project has provided them the rare chance to expand their classroom knowledge and collaborate with industry professionals while creating a roadworthy, efficient vehicle powered by the sun! They also work with local schools and organizations to educate young children in elementary and middle school about STEM as a career as well as instill a passion of automobiles. The annual race at the Texas Motor Speedway will test their abilities to apply their mechanical and electrical knowledge, and work as a cohesive unit to achieve a common goal. Come join us, check out the car, and support this team of young automotive innovators!!! If you would like to volunteer your expertise or skills to the team please feel free to talk to them at the show. I won't be able to attend this show but look forward to the one in February. It will be interesting to see how the new location works out. Until then all of you have :happyholidays: !!! |

The weather forecast for Cars and Coffee looks to be good. It's going to be a chilly morning so dress warm. They have the lows @ 26* with a high of 55*. Once again don't forget to drive slow going in the the show due to the dip. Have fun and if you go take pictures and let us know about the new locations.

Just wanted to post this up. This was on Cars and Coffee's Facebook.
Thanks to Concordia University Texas, our show sponsors, both spectators and show entrants, and Stony High School Solar Car Team for the biggest show Cars and Coffee Austin has ever seen! The attendance was overwhelming, by far more than expected. We ask for your patience and understanding in the transition process at Concordia University Texas. It was our first show there, and if you know the team that runs it, you know we are very small and managed as best we could with overwhelming show of support for our first show of the year. We are working out the kinks and learning, as with any event in any new location. We genuinely apologize to all who waited in line for so long and were turned away when we reached capacity. Going forward we will be working on several ways to ease the traffic and parking situation. With all that said, we hear/see your complaints and suggestion. We are working diligently to make the next show better. We appreciate all the suggestions on locations but cannot keep moving the show around. There is a lot invested into the event; time, people, organization, money, security, logistics etc. Also, with the stigma carried by car shows, it’s a bit more difficult to convince a venue to let you host an event. We noticed some of the repeat negative behavior as well and ask that you do not attend the show if that is what you’d like to do. In addition to growth, one of the reason we had to leave The Oasis is the burnouts, revving, and load music. Please be aware, Concordia University Texas will not tolerate this and has residential apartments as neighbors. If we want the show to continue everyone MUST respect the location at its surroundings. Not only does this behavior negatively impact the car show image, it causes us to get kicked out of locations we are lucky to have hosting. Lets all work together to keep the show going for the rest of 2018. |
Sounds like it's gone ghetto.

Cars & Coffee Feb.11th
**Show Update**
The Feb. 11th Cars and Coffee Austin (next show) is cancelled. We are still hard at work trying to improve on the location/logistics/traffic/staffing issues, and need some more time to make sure that we are ready for the next show. The details are still being worked out, but we can say we are making some very exciting moves! We hear your suggestions and concerns and are sure you will be happy with what we are now working towards. We’ll keep you posted as things progress. Thank you for your patience, we look forward to hosting an amazing Cars and Coffee Show next time around. Until then, safe motoring! I will keep you all up to date on this. Once I hear of anything I will post it up. |
Cars and Coffee Update:
This was posted on the Cars and Coffee facebook page and wanted to make sure you guys are updated.
Good afternoon all! An update as we’ve been receiving tons of location suggestions and inquiries about the next event: We’ve been working on a potential contract/location that is taking more time than we expected. We are going to postpone the show until further notice and will keep the page current with any updates. We will not be accepting any new sponsors or featured charities at this moment. Thank you all for your support! |
New Cars & Coffee Location!!!!
The show is moving to COTA!!
We are extremely excited about the news and know that you, the fans, are too! We have looked at numerous options and this is the most logical. It is where the show needs to be and SHOULD be. There is plenty of room to grow and plenty of space for all car types to park with their own. THAT’S RIGHT!! Parking, for now, will be divided into the following groups: American Iron, Asian Import and Tuners, European Aficionado, Classic and Vintage, Rock Solid Vehicle (SUV-Pickup-Jeeps), and Dirt Mud Toys (Side by Side / ATV). Obviously there are more classes/types that can be added and may be added in the future as the need arises. The first show will be Sunday May 20th, 2018!! Finally a Cars and Coffee AUSTIN Show again!!! The other dates for 2018 are: June 17, July 22, August 19, September 16, October 14, November 18, and December 16. Times will be announced soon. We realize the show dates do not fall on the same second Sunday of every month like before. Bear in mind, with the schedule of events that are already schedule to take place this year at COTA there was no way to pin the day down to a regular rotation. But at least we can relish in the fact that we have a show each and every month and this new Cars and Coffee Austin show is going to be the BIGGEST, BADDEST, CARS AND COFFEE EVER!!! See y’all on the 20th of May! This is going to be interesting. :ugh2: |

Very nice! :excited:
And a reason to wash the Z! :icon17: |
I just hit up K1 Speed (off Burnet Rd just south of Braker Ln) this past weekend and had a blast. Anyone interested in some legit go-kart racing fun should check it out. Arrive and Drive (their version of walk-in) isn't bad if you get there close to when they open (10 am on the weekends). I bought extra races and definitely plan on going back if anyone wants to join.

Here's an update to next weeks Cars and Coffee.
Thank you all for sharing the post about the show, which is now being held Circuit of The Americas! Lots of y’all have been writing and asking questions for which we FINALLY have some solid answers to. We are pleased to share them here with you now...... What are the times? 8am to 12pm What is the cost? Still just $5 per car! We may incorporate a yearly parking pass at a discounted price. Still in the works. Will the show still support a charity? YES! We will donate to many charities. Some the show has supported before and some new ones. What lit will the show take place in? Lot A. Will the track be open to the attendees to drive on? At this time no. We will discuss the opportunity to do parade laps in the future. For now please attend one of our public track days. NOTE: we will have the autocross course open for SUV and Off-road vehicles. Can I trailer in my car and where do I park my trailer? Yes, we now can allow trailered in vehicles. Trailers will be parked along COTA Blvd. Are motorcycles allowed at the show? YES and they will have their own parking area. I have an Electric Vehicle, can we have a designated area? Yes! However we have no charging stations. I was a vendor at the other show locations. Can I be a vendor now? Yes! We will announce when and how to submit to be a vendor once we finalize the vendor program details. |
Wow, so, like, hi. I just realized it's been over a year since I logged in. O.o
On the up side, I was able to keep the Z when I bought my house this past december. Apparently there is a COTA meet up this weekend? |
I’m at ZDayZ. But looking forward to a meet out there. Morbid, we need to get together and clean up our Z’s. Hit me up - got some news, too.

I know morbid and I need to do it, so I'll be hosting a throttle body and MAF cleaning party in the near future. If anyone else needs this work done, just post up in here and we'll make sure to coordinate which weekend.

Thought Ecutek wasn't reliable at the time? 2015
|
It was new. Not many tuners. But it was better software than Uprev even at it's initial release. I never had any problems with it, and I don't know of anyone who did. I know people were having problems with specific tuners, but never the software.
