cow 01-25-2011 06:25 PM

Yep, I'll be getting that too!

phelan 01-25-2011 06:26 PM

oh, and i'm so glad bendtner is still with the team. brilliant first goal today. and little wilshere is turning into a british cesc fabregas. outstanding vision today.

cow 01-25-2011 06:54 PM

Man, I hope Bac is ok. Read he had a concussion, but the match commentator said something about a broken nose.

Red370 01-26-2011 12:08 PM

Bendy's touch and shot on that first goal was pure class, hes a whiny little prick 90% of the time, but theres no doubting the man's finishing has come full circle, I hope we dont let him go any time soon.

yes, 90% of the time a whiny little prick, the other 10% he's an arrogant little prick. you see his celebration? he was like "yeah, F*CK OFF ipswich." i nearly spat my drink out laughing.

bendtner's a humongous tool, but he's got a nose for the goal now, and i'm glad he's wearing arsenal colors hahahah

cow 01-26-2011 03:33 PM

Bendtner just kind of LOOKS like a dick.

holy crapola, szczesny is so much taller than cesc :rofl2:

cow 01-26-2011 06:05 PM

6'5" to 5'10" will do that.

Red370 01-26-2011 07:47 PM

how impressed are yall with the play of Jacky W this season so far? the guy was very "Cesc-like" in his passing yesterday, cheeky little passes, deft over the top through balls, the kid is going to be one of the greats.

Red370 01-26-2011 07:55 PM

apparently they caught Cesc's "O" face

cow 01-26-2011 09:43 PM

lol & O face

Do you guys listen to the "The Tuesday Club" podcast?

phelan 01-26-2011 11:57 PM

he should've gotten MOTM for the ipswich game. brilliant assist for the first goal, commanded the midfield well in spite of not having song next to him to marshal the defense. denilson played decently, but he isn't the enforcer that alex song is. song will launch into hard but fair tackles, denilson just scoots alongside the attacker and tries to chip away.

but wilshere is quickly becoming a brilliant box to box player. he had a few shots on goal too that he was unlucky to not get in.

good GOD, arsenal.com chose a horrible wallpaper.

cow 01-27-2011 09:06 AM

Check out The Tuesday Club. One of the guys was on Arsecast last week & turned me on to their show. The segments I like on Arsecast are when he's talking to the other bloggers, etc about the team, rather than the silly "interviews" & what not.

The Tuesday Club is like an hour of those segments. Their new feed on iTunes only has two previous shows, so you're not far behind. Give it a shot.

phelan 01-27-2011 10:21 AM

haha, arseblog does like his little internet joe and arshavin impersonations. i don't mind them, as long as he conducts a good interview with other bloggers.

i listened to the tuesday club driving in this morning. gotta admit, i do like the show. very funny, the crew has been around for a while so they have a certain chemistry that works. although some of these suggested songs...oh dear god. haha. i like it, i'll have to subscribe.

kieran gibbs, gibbs, gibbs, he plays at the back for arsenal...

DAMMIT it's gonna be stuck in my head all day now!

it seems Capello finally has his head on straight.

phelan 01-28-2011 12:54 PM

I'll be thrilled when Ramsey makes a return to the squad. I'm loving our prospects more and more.

FA and Carling Cup can theoretically give us a mini-double, EPL is oh so close, need ManU's luck to run out at some point in time. And Barca must realize they're in for a fight when they come to the Emirates!

phelan 01-30-2011 09:39 AM

Nasri T_T

We now need Arshavin as close to his 100% as possible when we face Barca. ughhh

cow 01-30-2011 10:18 AM

Early reports say Nasri's out for two-to-three weeks depending on the severity of his injury. It seems we can never get Barca with our best team.

cow 01-30-2011 10:21 AM

Leyton Orient in the next round. Small time derby.

cow 01-30-2011 11:21 AM

Are you guys watching Spuds at Fulham? 4-0 Fulham at halftime. Two penalties & Michael Dawson sent off for Sp*rs.

Arshavin is slowly, SLOWLY, but surely waking up from his disaster spell. He looked sharpest on the pitch until Cesc came on.

Bendtner absolutely fluffed for that penalty, ugh. Shameful, but Cesc was instrumental in 20 minutes.

Can we please, PLEASE get rid of Denilson now, shocking display...

At least, though, I do enjoy watching Sp*rs getting absolutely blasted hahaha

cow 01-31-2011 03:55 AM

I'm like you-- I can't figure out why Denilson keeps getting games. He's absolutely not Arsenal quality passing-wise, is slow, & can't tackle to save his life. He basically sucks at the three facets of his game that are necessary to his position.

The ball to the opposing player at the top of the box was shocking. I read somewhere that he completed like 89 of 93 passes yesterday-- I wonder how many were forward & didn't play a teammate into an awkward spot.

cow 01-31-2011 10:49 AM

Liverpool are apparently set to offer 40mill pounds for Andy Carroll. That's ridiculous for a player who's been good for half a season in the premiership.

phelan 01-31-2011 11:45 AM

I guarantee you, the four passes that Denilson failed to complete were forward. Everything else was going backwards or sideways. He also bowled over when he got hit with a gust of wind. Ridiculous. Thank God for Jack Wilshere!

Andy Carroll: Newcastle United accept Liverpool's £35m offer | Football | guardian.co.uk

good lord, what just happened???

no way is carroll an upgrade over torres, i don't care how out of form el nino is.

liverpool's gone insane. and if torres reaches chelsea...oh dear god.

meanwhile, in arsenal we just bought...oh wait. haha. why wenger insists squillaci is quality, i have no idea. Everytime I see Squillaci in our formation, I die a little bit inside.

If we learned ANYTHING new from playing Huddersfield, it's that Alex Song is not a CB replacement. He looked so shaky back there, and he still bombed forward when he could. Can't change his tendencies THAT easily, Arsene!

phelan 01-31-2011 12:12 PM

...

NESV just completely ruined the transfer market. Assholes. Liverpool's gone berserk.

No way in Hell Arsene is buying now. Not when people are shelling out...35 mil for Andy Carroll.

Comment of the day:
"Mesut Ozil+Sami Khedira+Van Der Vaart+Javier Hernandez = Andy Carroll."

Real MaPool.

phelan 01-31-2011 01:26 PM

Torres to Chelsea. Oh god.

I'm kind of glad we got both Chelsea fixtures out of the way. I'm curious how Liverpool is going to roll out now. What a downgrade IMO, I don't care how well Carroll played in the first half, he's not worth 35 million, and certainly not worth letting Torres go for.

cow 01-31-2011 02:30 PM

Suarez was a good buy.

cow 01-31-2011 02:31 PM

Saw this in a tweet:

Torres = 50m pounds
Sczesny-Clichy-Drjourou-Vermaelen-Sagna-Nasri-Walcott-Fabregas-Song-Wilshere-RVP = 44m pounds

Red370 01-31-2011 02:56 PM

fvck you Chelsea, that is all.

Red370 01-31-2011 03:01 PM

and Andy Carroll... does he have more than 10 caps? lulz.

cow 01-31-2011 03:03 PM

Nope. 1 cap. Against France in November.

I like my quote better about Andy Carroll.

I find it amusing how as soon as Chelski starts stinkin up the table, Oil Abramovich is ready to splash ludicrous amounts of cash on out of form players.

phelan 01-31-2011 06:23 PM

out of form or not, a drogba / torres strike partnership just made everybody not named man united crap their pants.

liverpool...my god, what have you done. carroll / suarez up front. but at what cost?!
