:ugh2:

phelan 07-28-2010 09:28 PM

MLS fails so much

van der sar is so bored hahahahaha.

edit: what a cheeky little chip from chicarito hahahahahahaha. may have been offside though

if he wears a fking 'chicarito' jersey i will fly out to england and beat his fking *** silly rofl

blue660r01 07-28-2010 09:41 PM

If Donovan played the MLS would win :D

phelan 07-28-2010 09:42 PM

he did play, but he looks so dead hahaha

blue660r01 07-28-2010 09:44 PM

I wasnt watchin I thought they said he wasnt.

cow 07-28-2010 09:53 PM

Donovan came in around the 75th minute.

& yeah, "CHICARITO" on the back of a uniform is ******* stupid.

Red370 07-28-2010 10:07 PM

i'm thinking that was just a one off novelty jersey for tonights game, they wont let him wear that chit in Manchester. SAF is a douche if he does. Donovan looked dead, he played a full 90 yesterday so its understandable. Alston, apart from the duff he made in the first few seconds, looked pretty sharp on the side, he shut Nani down all night long, however, the middle defense for the MLS was el garbagio. You cant really expect to put a bunch of guys together and have them play cohesively for 90 minutes in 3 days, the team was in disarray all game, wayward passes, sloppy dispossession, etc. It was plain to see that this game was all and will always be a publicity stunt. I will say though, Macheda is pretty damn good for a kid his age, he might develop into one hell of a striker one day.

phelan 07-29-2010 10:06 AM

arsenal home kit released today :excited:

cow 07-29-2010 11:08 AM

Yup. I hope my kitbag order gets here quickly.

cow 07-29-2010 11:15 AM

Arshavin tweeted this link:
Cesc Fabregas is torn between his favourite side or the team he captains | Give Me Football

Nothing new, other than quotes from Fabregas.

Red370 07-29-2010 11:44 AM

"He doesn't want me to leave. And in my last conversation with him in London, it was one of the most difficult moments I have experienced. I ended up very upset."

I have a feeling that AW explained to Cesc that Arsenal took him in and made him who he is today, Barca didnt give a second look at the kid when they allowed him to go, now that Arsenal molded him into one of the best midfielders in the world today, it would be like spitting in the face or biting the hand that fed you.

cow 07-29-2010 12:56 PM

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

yep

phelan 07-29-2010 01:32 PM

as we've been saying, i think we all are resigned to cesc leaving arsenal, maybe as early as the 2011-2012 season. but i think we get one more season with him as the captain, and here's to hoping he goes out with trophies.

with that said, if barca wants him now, they better pay up. if arsenal plays the martyr and takes less than 50 million for fabregas i'm gonna be PISSED.

Red370 07-30-2010 07:39 AM

Further adding to my Barca hate. STFU Puyol. FIFA really does need to do something about this chit.

Barcelona defender Carles Puyol slams Arsenal for not allowing Cesc Fabregas to leave - Goal.com

I'm at the point where I think it would be best if Fab just left, all this is doing is causing unrest in the locker room and will definitely have a negative effect on the squad come match day, I say let the kid go and bring in Yoann, the guy is good and would fill Fabs boots straight away, and with the money from the sale, we could buy 3 more players, 2 at world class level even.

phelan 07-30-2010 11:44 AM

even for me, i have to agree. this is getting ridiculous. the stance isn't even 'arsenal' anymore, it's 'cesc + arsenal'. if barca pays, then adios to one of my favorite players, but yes, bring in gourcuff. we can spend that much more on a defensive line, as well.

barca: f*ck you. f*ck you and go to f*cking hell. i hope mourinho rapes your team in el clasico.

btw, i hope this is wenger-speak for "lol don't want to risk first-team yet"

Midfield quartet missing for Emirates Cup

the Emirates cup is just a publicity stunt anyways, no biggie, and yeah I think thats all that means, keeping the midfield and our main starters healthy. And as far as Real goes, they just signed Khedira, excellent signing for them, I have a feeling Real will chit all over Barca this season.

Gourcuff could be snapped up for 15-20 mil, would be an excellent buy if we could get him. We still havent bought a keeper, hopefully this Marchetti rumor is founded, he'd be a great addition. If we could add Merte and Tasci, our defensive woes would be solved.

Red370 07-30-2010 11:56 AM

ha, Cow, I thought you might like this, Arsenal.com now has an American store.

Arsenal Store USA

cow 07-30-2010 12:00 PM

They've had the USA store for a while, but, like all other American vendors, they don't (yet?) carry long sleeve kits. Any idea why that is?

good question... i dunno. I think this training jacket looks badass though, think i'm gonna buy it.

cow 07-30-2010 12:04 PM

Agreed. Maybe buy a size bigger, though-- I normally rock a large & as such ordered last year's one as a large, but it was tighter than I'd like.

Red370 07-30-2010 12:05 PM

i'm only about 170lbs so a large should be big enough yeah?

cow 07-30-2010 12:07 PM

I suppose. Mine "fit," but was tight. I'm 5'11" ~190, so you'll probably be straight.

Red370 07-30-2010 12:11 PM

i'm 5'10 and 20 lbs. lighter, a large should probably fit perfectly, muchas gracias senor.

Red370 07-30-2010 12:11 PM

haha, do you remember the old Kappa Team Italy tracksuit with the pants/jacket? i used to rock that in high school, wish they still sold em.

cow 07-30-2010 12:12 PM

I still have mine. I hate the Azzurri, but that **** was fresh.

haha, dont we all? I actually had them in my school colors, green and white, with the little emblem down the legs, man, that was a sharp warm up outfit, looked the best out of all the teams we played easy:icon17:

Red370 07-30-2010 12:18 PM

ha, found a pic, man, i wish these were still sold, I want another set to wear for indoor.

http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/large_im.../200034011.jpg

cow 07-30-2010 12:18 PM

I think soccer.com still sells them.

cow 07-30-2010 12:20 PM

Nevermind.

:(

cow 07-30-2010 12:21 PM

closest thing they have currently:
Kappa Classic Open Hooded Jacket || SOCCER.COM

Red370 07-30-2010 12:22 PM

boooo... to be honest, I havent been able to find anything new from Kappa, did they fold?

cow 07-30-2010 12:28 PM

Apparently not:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kappa_(company)

As far as I remember, there were only four outfitters in the World Cup-- Nike/ Adidas/ Puma/ whomever North Korea wore. I think most teams have moved to the first three leaving Kappa/ Kelme/ Diadora/ Lotto/ etc to the side.

:::edit:::
Umbro outfitted England, but they're owned by Nike now.

Red370 07-30-2010 12:28 PM

speaking of Kappa, check out these sweet ass boots that I still pull out from time to time...

http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...t6/p_00670.jpg

cow 07-30-2010 12:30 PM

I remember those! I used to have some rad red Kappa shoes. I think they're in my storage center.

Red370 07-30-2010 12:33 PM

I think they were called "Kappa Italias" or somethin like that, cant beat that good Roo leather. Speaking of Kelme, I had the Kelme Masters, those things were magic. But so far out of all the boots i've ever owned, the Puma Kings are my personal favorites, never had so much as a hot spot on my foot from them, only boots i've ever owned that can go a whole 90 and my feet feel great after.

cow 07-30-2010 12:36 PM

I used to be nostalgic about some older boots I had until I switched to Nike's new stuff. It really is fantastic.

Red370 07-30-2010 12:37 PM

Boots are getting ridiculous though nowadays, seriously, $300 for a pair of vapors? I think the Adidas F50's are something like $400? thats just stupid.

phelan 07-30-2010 01:03 PM

Kappa is still around. I think AS Roma uses their jerseys.

I'm wearing my free Arsenal polo shirt today
