now my RvP arsenal jersey is right next to my fabregas one  (cesc...:crying:) not sure about mexes. haven't heard much about him, and haven't seen enough since he's apparently "borderline first squad" for roma |

oh yeah, BTW, I sold Fab and bought Stevie G on fifa, i've already come to terms with it:shakes head:
|
^ i'm gonna go home and see how much i can swindle out of barca for fab hahaha
btw i was playing around on goal.com and found it highly amusing that all three of our goal keepers are rated horribly for "command of box". 4.5 for each of them. well...yeah, three GKs who flop like dead fish when a ball comes into the box...what did you expect? i love how we've turned every soccer thread here into a "hey let's b*tch about arsenal for a few pages" thread :roflpuke2: |

Sold to Inter for $60 mil USD :icon17: Liverpool was being stingy with Stevie, took 3 negotiations, $50 mil and a ludicrous per goal bonus:roflpuke2: I could afford him though, thanks to some shrewd upgrades to the ticket price and the sale of Almunia, Fabianski and Vela, oh, Adler is my new keeper, woo! |
^ why have you not pawned eduardo off to like...the korean league yet XD

******* Inter.

Whoo Ronaldinho! :woot: |
I love that commercial.
|
It looks like the US will lose tonight's match, but I'm encouraged (considering it's the B squad). Hercules Gomez looks pretty impressive.
|
& then the Czechs score again & I'm slightly less encouraged.
|
well Bob Bradley picked a pretty solid team surprisingly, thank f'ing god Ching was left off the team, although I gotta admit i'm pretty surprised DMB made the squad, he showed flashes of brilliance last night and he supposedly has been great in training so who knows. As far as forwards go, i'd say we have pretty much the best we can have at this point, Findlay is very quick, Gomez is on a nasty tear, Jozy holds the ball well and provides a big target in the box, so overall not bad, what are your thoughts?
|
:iagree:
I think Bob chose the best team possible. I hope Gooch loses that fear factor he obviously had last night. Who ever is paired up top with Jozy, I feel should do well..although I would love to see a proven international goal scorer like Dempsey at forward. Overall the team looks good. |
So out of morbid curiosity, i watched Japan (pretty much my second home) play South Korea.
Oh my god, they're going to faceplant so bad in the WC it's not even funny. Shut down Shunsuke Nakamura, and the entire team goes "ok we're stuck lulz" and gives up. Netherlands playing Mexico right now, RvP already has a goal  |
Though I have no idea how the guy performs in club ball, Im a little disappointed to see Robbie Rogers left off the squad. He has impressed me when he plays on the intl team, whereas DMB I am skeptical about.

Sorry if this is a repost, but it seems that we have finally picked our players for the US team.
Website: Bradley announces 23-man US roster - World Cup News - FOX Sports on MSN United States men's national team coach Bob Bradley announced the nation's 23-man World Cup roster on Wednesday, just one day after the U.S. fringe players lost a 4-2 decision to the Czech Republic. The roster is as follows: Goalkeepers: Tim Howard, Marcus Hahnemann, Brad Guzan Defenders: Oguchi Onyewu, Carlos Bocanegra (captain), Steve Cherundolo, Jonathan Spector, Jay DeMerit, Clarence Goodson, Jonathan Bornstein Midfielders: Landon Donovan, Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, Stuart Holden, Ricardo Clark, Maurice Edu, DaMarcus Beasley, Jose Francisco Torres, Benny Feilhaber Forwards: Jozy Altidore, Edson Buddle, Robbie Findley, Herculez Gomez More news to follow ... |
Wooo! RvP with a brace, Ochoa shat his pants every time he got the ball onto his left foot. I have a feeling this guy is going to shyt all over the world cup, maybe even win the golden boot.
To Kielbasa, I've seen RR play twice, once against Honduras and the other against Costa Rica, guy basically disappeared for 90 minutes, reminds me of Theo Walcott really, has strokes of brilliance, sandwiched between stacks of shitty performances. I will say this though, how relieved are yall that Brian "how the fvck am I playing professional soccer" Ching, didnt make the team? i was pretty pumped about that, never understood how the guy got call ups all the times he did. Gooch didnt play that great last night, but you have to understand, the guy came back from a pretty nasty injury and wants to stay healthy for the world cup, he wasnt giving more than 75%, which is understandable. |
Btw, RvP's second volley was fucking ludicrous. The Dutch mean business this year fellas.
|
You guys are a little too obsessed with Van Persie...I mean yeah hes good and all but you are making him out to be a god lol.
Side note....Im happy with Bradleys selections. And to who said they would like to see Dempsey up front I dont really agree. I would put Altidore with Gomez and Dempsey in CAM |
Mexico is such garbage btw. Nobody ever believes it. Look at that scoreline and imagine how much worse it would be with the Netherlands 2 best players.
|
Not going good for Germanys midfield. Ballacks likely replacement is now injured

You could consider a lot of players goals "world class" though

to arsenal he is a ******* god. look at the difference in the team when he played versus when he was injured. i'm not saying he's cesc, but he's got the innate ability to turn something out of almost nothing. his greatest knock is that he can't manufacturing even 25% of his capability on his right foot, it's weak as hell. i just got my rvp jersey in too  and for team usa: altidore up from with gomez, buddle in reserve, dempsey CAM and donovan next to him = win |
