Damn that's a pretty big blow for them, Ray Lewis is probably gonna have trouble staying healthy too.

Yeah, that was not the news I was hoping for. Now the Ravens have to hope for Paul Kruger, Sergio Kindle, and/or that rookie Upshaw to step up in a big way, especially if Lewis or Reed go down. All this with a new Defensive Coordinator. *fingers crossed*

b1adesofcha0s 05-03-2012 11:26 AM

I think the Ravens D will still be good. Maybe not as dominant as last year, but still one of the top defenses in the league.

blue660r01 05-03-2012 06:17 PM

Ray Lewis having trouble staying healthy? You nuts? He is a machine!

b1adesofcha0s 05-03-2012 06:23 PM

Wasn't he out for a few games last season?

sixpax 05-03-2012 06:32 PM

Colts are going to the Super Bowl. Bets accepted over here ====> :wtf2:

blue660r01 05-03-2012 06:33 PM

Idr....but times like this is when a young guy steps in to show his talent as a future replacement.

That's a huge hit for us.

Yeah I think he missed like 3 games with turf toe.

One_Quick_Z 05-03-2012 07:50 PM

I'm not doubting he's a machine but he only played 12 games last year cause of his toe. The toe is one of the worst injuries for an athlete and at his age it's hard for it fully heal again.

One_Quick_Z 05-03-2012 09:24 PM

Remember they where 7-3 before Cutler and Forte went down, and they where averaging 30 pts a game on the last five of those. Plus they added Marsh, Bush, Jeffery ohhh boy I cant wait :)

b1adesofcha0s 05-03-2012 10:36 PM

Yup Bears should be a lot better. Wonder how they'll do against the Packers.

Drex 05-03-2012 10:48 PM

nfc north will be real interesting this year

Yeah that might be the toughest division in the NFL next season with the Packers, Bears, and Lions. All three of those teams might be in the playoffs next year.

One_Quick_Z 05-04-2012 12:33 AM

That would be really cool to see how that would play out with three teams in the playoffs. Need to make sure the lions were not just a one year fluke, and the packs D really needs to kick it in gear also their secondary was horrible.

I think the Lions will get it done again this year as long as Stafford and Megatron stay healthy.

Any body else watch the All-Fantasy game yesterday? Lingerie Football League is pretty hardcore. Not gonna lie.

I missed that, but I'm really excited for fantasy football to start up again soon. Anyone else in here play?

That's awesome, How'd you like it? I've been playing for a couple years now. Last year I was plagued with injuries and it was really disappointing :shakes head:. I played in too many leagues last year, I'm going to stay to a 2-3 max this year lol. What format do you guys use?

I loved it! I only started watching football like 3 years ago, but I am turning into a total football nerd and fantasy football is only making that worse :p

I think we did ESPN last year. I played in that one and another one with some friends on Yahoo. Did horrible in the forum league, but ended the season #1 in my other league. Got knocked off in the playoffs because of some injuries and MJD having 4 TD's in one game.

I don't like it. Personally, it ruins my enjoyment of the game. I just want to root for the teams and players I root for. I don't need every game to have some meaning or impact on my weekend.

But whatever makes folks happy.

Yeah I hear you on that, that's why I stayed away from it orginally. I still root for my team and favorite players before I root for my fantasy team.

Ochocinco gets cut by the Patriots and signed by the Dolphins. Finally the Dolphins got something, I was feeling bad for them for a while :icon17:

Giants waived Jake Ballard after he failed a physical. IIRC he did pretty well on the Giants last year when he was healthy.

Patriots surprisingly signed Gronkowski to a 6 yr $54 million deal. Guess they'd rather lock him up long term now than have to pay even more at the end of his previous contract. Hoping they sign Welker to a deal soon too.

b1adesofcha0s 06-26-2012 11:04 AM

A little more than 2 months left till football :woot:

I think it's time for me to order my first jersey. Anyone know a good place to order them or is the NFL/team website the best place? If I can get the same jersey for a lower price somewhere else, that would be awesome. Can't get it locally since I'm not exactly a fan of the local team :icon17:

Also want to make sure sizing is the same as it would be for a regular shirt. I don't see why it wouldn't be, but just making sure I don't accidentally order the wrong size.

If you get an officially licensed jersey, you can expect to pay through the nose. The replica jerseys with screened on numbers/letters will be cheaper. The authentics with the stitched numbers are more expensive, but look much better.

If you find some on clearance at a store, you can save big bucks, especially if the player is no longer with the team. Being a pats fan in MD, you may have a hard time finding this locally. Might try amazon or something.

If you get a non-licensed, knockoff product, you'll save a lot, but you'll not be supporting the team. And most people won't notice it until they're right up on you. Even if they do notice it, they probably won't care as much about that as the team you're rooting for by wearing it.

Edit: I usually order mine a size or two bigger, because they're meant to be worn a little loose.

No I definitely want an authentic one. I think I can probably order the same size as my AFC Champs t-shirt since it was a looser fit. Just gotta go home and check what size that was.

Also thought about going into a store like Modell's or something and test fitting a jersey, but I could never put on a Ravens jersey :icon17:
