Today is going to be disappointing

Red__Zed 12-30-2012 12:40 PM

Watching tyrod run like that brings back all sorts of bad memories.

Rooster89 12-30-2012 01:15 PM

This bears game is proving very entertaining. I love defense and the bears are robbing the lions of the football today

shadoquad 12-30-2012 01:17 PM

Boring ravens-bengals game. Puntfest.

High winds prevent long passes.

dmhenderson 12-30-2012 01:42 PM

Haha wtf is going on with fox. During the halftime show it just played the fox football theme on a loop with no voice sound over and over and then they went to commercial and came back - now there's a Spanish VoiceOver

nfc is boring as balls to me, because it doesn't matter until the super bowl, as I'm sure the afc is boring as balls to you. Don't be such a sensie

eh. fantasy football made me into a better football fan. I ended up having to watch the afc and plus I like watching the texans and patriots

Rooster89 12-30-2012 02:10 PM

also, whats a sensie?

Fantasy football nearly ruined football for me. Watching games that no one should care about, getting upset about nonsense that didn't matter, rooting for players going against my own team.

It's just D&D for jocks.

An overly-sensitive person.

blue660r01 12-30-2012 02:18 PM

Wow Philly is terrible.

Hey! I'm not a jock! I played hockey! Hockey players are not jocks at all. Now you got me all upset because I'm sensitive. Screw this, I'm going to watch sex and the city reruns!

Honestly, I think fantasy made me a better football fan because it forced me to follow almost every single team. Granted, I'm still a die hard cowboys fan and I've managed to never allow me to become so concerned with my fantasy team that I would root against my cowboys. On the other hand, I did root against my cowboys so that certain coaches would get fired. and our general manger ;)

I was already a good football fan before I started fantasy. It took too much of my time and attention. "Oh, Detroit is playing Tampa with no playoff implications?! I still should watch because I need X player to get 100 yds." Screw that. I can watch ESPN if I care about the result of that game.

I root for my Ravens, and the rest can go hang. If AD breaks the rushing record, I'll be impressed. I'm already impressed with Calvin Johnson's accomplishments, as well as Peyton Manning's season.

But the Lombardi is all that really matters, and I've got a dog in that race. If the Ravens were eliminated already, I'd stop caring and ignore it until the Super Bowl.

The NFL doesn't need me for more than that.

One_Quick_Z 12-30-2012 02:36 PM

Hard to decide to root for the Bears to win only so they will lose in the first round or to lose now so lovie will be gone.

WTF is wrong with the Texans?

Watching history is interesting though. I watched CJ set the record and I am happy I did.

MJB 12-30-2012 03:01 PM

Lol Texans blew it. If Patriots win today, sorry but nobody is going to beat them at their house in the playoffs. Damn I don't want to see them again in the Superbowl!

blue660r01 12-30-2012 03:06 PM

Go Vikings! Screw the Bears.

I don't know, but I like a shot at homefield being put in our hands.

It's always more comforting to fail at home in the playoffs :icon17:

Rooster89 12-30-2012 03:20 PM

I'm just glad the giants are eliminated :icon17:

now onto the deadskins!

Don't like either team but since my Giants even with the win are out... Damn Bears! will go with the Skins. :shakes head:

Yeah, they turned it around a bit. There's something there to build on

Although I have to say I have high hopes, given past experiences with old, ugly, ex-colts qb's.

Who is your team? I thought you were a patriots fan.

shadoquad 12-30-2012 05:30 PM

Peterson needs a miracle to break the record at this point, although he has 2000.

shadoquad 12-30-2012 05:35 PM

Lol just as I post that, 30 yd run
