That's why it flashes twice. "Steelers" pretty much means "suck".

Ah ok, I get it now. Thanks for clearing that up for me

Looks like the NFL has pushed back the kickoff time for afternoon games by 10 mins to 4:25 pm. I like this move because there were a few games that got cut off at the end last year.

b1adesofcha0s 06-28-2012 12:41 PM

Also the NFL released it's top 10 players voted by the players. I was shocked to see Tom Brady go from #1 last year to #4 this year. I think he belongs at #1 or at #2 behind Aaron Rodgers. This is without my bias as a Patriots fan :icon17:

I hate these rankings, and it irks me even more that QB's are so overvalued in this league.

Yeah some of their picks are just like :icon14:. They put Peyton Manning at like 50 even though he didn't play a single down last year.

Well, you know, when you're a big shot, you gotta prove it to everyone at all times.

I bet it's cause Tim Tebow isn't there to keep the faith anymore.

Yup it looks like it was a 5 yr $40 million deal. Matt Forte also just signed one with the Bears. Looks like his deal is 4 years with around $8 million per year.

I doubt it. It seems like it, but it's probably just because of the deadline being today. I wish Welker would have gotten one too, but no luck there.

b1adesofcha0s 07-17-2012 08:39 AM

Is it just me or is there an unusually high amount of NFL players getting arrested this offseason? Adrian Peterson got arrested for resisting arrest (which sounds like BS to me :p), Dez Bryant got arrested for assaulting a female family member, and now Marshawn Lynch for DUI :shakes head:

Nismo89 07-17-2012 09:11 AM

sounds alot like the Bengals... err i mean...... just because you have money, doesnt exclude you from the Law :) shame shame lol

I haven't heard any more about Adrian Peterson, but I wouldn't presume innocence or guilt until the details are out. He seems like enough of an egotist to give beef to the cops for some trifling reason.

Nismo89 07-18-2012 07:19 AM

in being a Ravens fan, i know its a business and all but i would like to see Ed Reed get a new deal ..... he reportedly turn down a mui-year deal that the Ravens offered to him before the start of the 2011 Season...

rebe945 07-18-2012 07:40 AM

Cleveland Browns

I like what they are doing in rebuilding the offense. Young skilled players in Weeden, Richardson, Speedster in Travis Benjamin, newly signed Josh Gibson who has the tools, Schwartz at tackle. Nice job this offseason. Hope to see progress.:stirthepot:

update on the Ravens Front: from ESPN and Rotoworld.com......... There is a 75 percent chance of a deal being done before the start of Training Camp in just a few weeks..

lol Hes no Brees, Manning, Brady but hes the best QB we (the Ravens) have had (not some old Free Agent we brought in) and all.... so he wont get paid Brees money or Manning BUT i think hes proven to be top 7-8 QB in the league right now. maybe 5 not 100 percent to say that yet. until he puts up the numbers and production..they say tht its confirmed there is a 75 percent chance of it getting done before training camp..... with the Aggressive ones being the Ravens pushing hard for a contract.

and meanwhile..... rumor has it they might let Ed Reed (acting as his own agent) test the Free Agency Pool as they did with Ray Lewis..

Flacco is nowhere near top 5. I'd say top 10 at best, but I probably wouldn't even put him up there. I'd say he's top 15 for sure. Any decent QB can look good when you have an elite D and RB to support you. Sure the Ravens don't NEED him to be that good of a QB to win, but you can't give him all the credit for the Ravens success.

It just takes *enough* money

With the AP stuff...I never understood how you arrest someone for just resisting arrest. What were you arresting them for that caused them to resist?
