ZdayZ, ok, how did I miss this.... not that it happened,
but it is moving to Blowing Rock, NC.... I had thought in the beginning, it was going to be the November if they had it.... and was just checking the web site. hmmm... and I never made it when it was in Fontana, which I didn't realize was 90 minutes from me... was this every posted here????

may was cancelled november was a possibility at fontana. fontana previous management company boned us all. we went elsewhere 2 weeks ago a small group tested blowing rock site for the new location for zdayz. aside from 4 people possibly getting covid it was a success. area is a whole different ballgame vs fontana and sheer wilderness. however, i kinda enjoyed the change. all i packed was a bag of clothes and my golf clubs. across the street from the resort is a food lion and 5 min down the road is a publix. it's not a dry county like fontana so i could get beer and liquor there and not have to haul it down. tanger outlets next to the resort in case you forgot anything. tons of good places to eat all around the area. plus for me there's a bunch of golf courses which is also a bonus.

as for the roads not gonna lie i didnt do either drive with the groups. i went golfing instead. however the roads i drove to get to these courses felt like that windy 4 lane bit of 26 when you get close to fontana. i know we go pretty much the same 3way so i think you've been on it. this does not have the dragon which sucks, but honestly with the addition of things to actually do and good food i think it evens out. they found roads around to drive that do look good. with more time i'm sure i would join in may on those drives.

I don't know how I feel about the move. It makes the trip that much longer and will increase cost more than I wish to pay. If I want to party at resort and play golf I can stay out west for that. This may end my run of bringing the Z to ZDAYZ. I may still show but without a Z car.

the group as a whole did runs each morning with set routes testing new roads in the area. so there are roads to drive they just are not the dragon. honestly, at this point with the increase in TN cops who's only goal is to generate revenue the dragon kinda lost it's spark for me. i guess when a trooper coming at you turns around and busts you completely lying about you speeding and them making up a speed since they didnt gun you leaves a sour taste. moving on from that, you fly in and ship your car. this is actually 2 hours drive closer to charlotte douglas airport (CLT) vs fontana. so technically the trip is shorter since i assume you flew into that airport. i cannot remember for sure though.
