There are tons of DOF calculator apps for smart phones.
Canon Singapore has a good app but the dof calc is buried: CanonSGLens
I use truedof-intro

make sure you include the sensor size for angle of view calculations.

just got back from Alaska, shot the 200-400 and 28-300. I usually shoot primes but on this trip I didn't want to hike with 50 pounds of lenses! No car pics but the scenery is stunning!

Love the boats in the fog. Beautiful. The dolphin shot is spectacular. Perfect timing on your part.

We were there about a year ago this coming Sept. I should post some of my shots.
