With Kevin at Fast Intention quoting Pooya about $385 for each axleback section (includes shipping in price) that would be $770 and from what I remember this item was only listed for $750. Do not know if Pooya is comfortable sharing what he exactly paid for the item, but if he did say pay the $750, in the insurance game we call that a total loss and $750 would be paid to the insured.

I'm still told Pooya to push for a full refund of his money through paypal due to the extent of the damage and deception of the condition for the sale. Fraud is illegal haha

Also another for you Pooya, See if paypal will include him paying for the shipping for the damaged item back to him

Shipping it back to him will cost $200-$250... It's just such a shitty situation. PayPal is "investigating" till January 2nd. Not sure what they're investigating because they haven't asked for any proof yet. Maybe I should call them again... Also, you're spot on with my total cost for this exhaust = What I paid him + what it cost me to drive to the border and pick it up.

I would call them again and again and again and again and again. Day after day. Asking them each time "How would you like me to send over picture and message evidence to help move the claim along quicker?" Make sure they know you're persistent until that one person takes it from you via email, mail, or fax.
Give them an incentive to help you help them.

hooey_b 12-11-2015 03:33 PM

so.

I'm new to the forum (ish). what tips do y'all have for transactions? here's what i've gathered so far:

-paypal it, credit card linked preferrably. insure for @ least how much the item is (if you're the one shipping it)
-photos. lots of photos. for disclosure of item condition
-timeline/itinerary for how long it should take to arrive

-use FedEx for shipping. looks like USPS can't keep a hold of packages, and UPS looks like they deliver where ever tfuq they want to at times...

anything i'm missing..? I'm very wary about getting scammed, because..well. patience isn't exactly my suit. and lying doesn't exactly tickle my fancy.

Dragon_Ball_Z 12-11-2015 03:35 PM

Before I sell anything that's expensive I make a video of it thoroughly and send it to the seller with the date and time in the video and showing that everything works as it should. Just in case you can have that as proof because the pictures can be altered.

Dragon_Ball_Z 12-11-2015 03:36 PM

If you're really worried about it then don't buy anything too expensive and just make sure that the member you're buying from has a good reputation and provides a sufficient amount of proof.

Unfortunately, it looks like Fred Beans Nissan has let Jomer go (or he left on his own accord - I'm not entirely sure). And they have dumped their entire online parts department apparently :(

According to this thread, anyway: http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...ge-claims.html. Not sure what will happen to their sponsorship on this forum; I expect they will let it lapse.

Too bad, considering they had the best OEM prices I could find ...

Man that sucks for both Jomer & all of us. Jomer was the hook up on parts.

As far as their forum sponsership, I doubt anything will change there, just look at GTM & all that messy history & yet still shown as a forum sponser with no warnings to new members :shakes head:

He's been around a while but less active in recent years; I just see occasional posts from him now. I wonder if any of the OG's know a better way to contact him. No excuses, but hopefully you get a refund or your part in good order :tiphat:

Worth a shot to contact Bulletproof.

So I just wanted to give yall all a heads up about a bad buyer on this forum and so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I few weeks ago I posted my 40th anniversary seats for sell, the buyer SWIPLife agreed on the price of 1200 plus trade for his OEM. He informed me that his Z was his daily so he couldn't take the seats off until he received mine. I told him I understood but that I would need some type of collateral to hold until he sent his, he also agreed but it was my mistake for the amount I asked($150). He sent the money and i sent the seats.Well to make the story short I texted him the day after the shop received my seats(SS Motorsports in Simi Valley, CA), he said he was on vacation in New York til saturday which was this last Saturday that just passed. I tried to get in contact with him saturday and the whole weekend with no response. I finally called him but apparently he blocked my calls. So I guess I can call this as a loss. So just a heads up to anybody who deals with this guy SWIPLife

Did you try calling the shop you sent the seats to? At least let them know what he did. He seems to have a fairly decent relationship with them according to this post:

Sorry to hear about what happened.

I've sent him a PM to respond to clear things up.

threeseventy 05-18-2016 12:25 AM

Since my Max Street clutch and flywheel setup has been slipping and failing (again) I've been here PMing members to get some stock parts to go in so I can continue to drive my Z. I contacted N370 about his post for misc parts and he quoted me $150 shipped for parts. I had sent out about a dozen PM's and posted a WTB asking for clutch and flywheel, so I didn't notice that I'd asked for clutch and pressure plate in the title of the PM I'd sent him. When clutch and pressure plate ($50, per his classified) arrived without flywheel I immediately PM'd him to clarify, stating that I'd needed the flywheel, and would not have agreed to $100 for shipping a 19 lb box from TX to CA (book rate FedEx is about $25), could he please send the $25 flywheel using the (Book rate $50) additional funds I'd sent. He agreed on 4/10/16, said he needed a couple of days as he was in some sort of military training, and would ship it Wednesday. That was his last communication, he has logged on multiple times, usually daily, and has likely seen the PM's I've sent him regarding my Z sitting in the driveway awaiting the part he agreed to ship. I have since found another source for a flywheel and have sent him a PM to request that he simply refund the $75 instead of sending the flywheel. Not holding my breath. :shakes head:

So is there any site/program where buyer and seller can put up money and the product at the same time without someone getting shafted?

Slartibartfas 05-25-2016 04:08 PM

Escrow accounts can be had though they aren't nearly as popular as they used to be (15 years ago) nor foolproof.

That I don't know,

Is someone local around here who can possibly hook him up with a flywheel... Possibly even for free?
Hell if I had mine still I would have gave it to him for free just for this entire hassle he went through.
I feel even worse for the buyer because he needed that part for his car to actually be able to run. not cool at all. It's like they are lifting them up by helping them out but when the situation turns like this they are dropping them from the sky with no parachute.

But a tainted seller nonetheless :ugh2:

JARblue 01-23-2017 08:25 PM

Potential here. We'll see how it shakes out. Wondering how long I should give him to respond or start the dispute process. I had an issue with PayPal that took me several days to sort out before I could make payment. He PM'd me every single day to ask status of payment. Then after I made payment, I had to bug him for confirmation and shipment info. He confirmed receipt and said would send tracking info later in the day - that was Tuesday (17th) and it's been radio silence since.

http://www.the370z.com/parts-sale-pr...le-dongle.html

UPDATE: received PM from the seller on 1/24 with tracking info. Package is coming from APO in Germany and is still in transit (since 1/19). Looks like an auto email with shipping confirmation from PayPal went missing.

UPDATE: received package yesterday. USPS didn't bother to update any of the tracking info until after I already had the package in hand. Once the tracking info updated several hours later, it says the package took less than 12 hours from being dropped off at the carrier in Germany to arrive at and depart from a transfer facility in Chicago. Then it it took 10 days to get to Austin

Hey James,

I sent him a PM to respond.

IF nothing happens in a week and it doesn't breach your window to file a dispute and file for a refund?

I'll remove him and he'll end up on our wall shame.

Good Luck Buddy! ;)

OldFart 05-23-2018 07:10 PM

Well, I guess it was bound to happen, ChaseZ had a post up about selling some parts, for me it was Nismo flares, paid on the 05/04, received a message stating that he would pull the flares off that weekend, that was on 05/07. Going on 3 weeks now, no PM's or Emails and hasn't signed on.

Believe me I know life throws ya some curves, but common courtesy would be nice to keep the buyer updated. I also know of at least one other member who is the same boat. Anyone know the guy?

Already filed for a refund through Paypal, but that can be stopped if I receive the flares or at least some sort of communication.

I know ChaseZ. I am sure there is a good reason for this.

Over_ReV 05-24-2018 06:20 AM

I am one of the other members that purchased parts from ChaseZ. I paid for his FI resonated test pipes back on 5/1 and haven't received any communications from him since he said he received payment. I did confirm with another member that he met up with him on 5/7 and picked up the cats he needed so he could send me his test pipes, so I had hope for a few weeks that he was still going to send them. I have been told that he is going though a rough time right now, but just a quick message of "hey, going though some stuff, I will send your package when I'm able" would go a long way.

Unfortunately since he was a respected member and other respected members were saying he is a good seller I felt comfortable sending him the money friends and family, so I can't even file a claim. This was my mistake though and also one that I will never repeat again. I have bought a lot of parts from members here and always had a great experience so I will not let this sour me, I will just CYA a little more carefully next time.
